They dropped out in 2009 (after just one entry), and stayed away again in 2010. Thankfully they came back in 2011, and every year since. Even if they take a break for 2025, I bet they'll return in 2026 or 2027, hoping to qualify and do well in the final.

One big problem is that: San Marino is relying on foreign singers. It's like old Luxembourg that relied on French singers. "11:11" by Megara was eliminated even from pre-selection in Benidorm, but won in UVPSM. Una Voce Per San Marino is the recipient of many foreign singers who cannot make efforts to be popular in their mother country. Another problem is: Sanmarinese singers cannot beat them. Only Nicola(Miodio), Valentina, and Anita are real Sanmarinese. San Marino should grow its own singers, and they will get a chance to qualify to the GF.

From my personal point of view I disagree, Stripper and 11:11 are some of my favorite entries from them in only 3 years of UVPSM. Where in all the other years I only liked 3 songs from them in total (2021, 2013, 2008) Also, after Megara this year I think KEiiNO also expressed interest in participating in UVPSM next year. The concept of "any country is allowed" could really lead them to success one day imo

2022...idk, maybe performance was a bit over the top etc., but also i don't even know myself (even if i'm not a fan of Stripper, i really thought it might somehow qualify) :/ 2023...the song was a bit too polarising for most of the people, especially because of a lil too repetitive construction (e.g. beginning with the chorus), the lyrics (even i think some of the lyrics were weirdly constructed despite the fact that after discovering the other releases they became one of my favourite artists from ESC..what an introduction i guess 🤣) and something was off with vocals for a short part of the song from around second chorus until the end, especially during the very end aka THE WAAAAAAY (and that moment landed in recap!) but that's how it ends when a really good sounding band (fr, check out their other songs because many of them are surprisingly good!) randomly goes to ESC with one of their weaker songs :/ wish they went with Color Shades (their first postESC release), which was also considered to be sent to UVPSM...maybe this would be a borderline Q or if NQ then at least bring them some points if nothing would be messed up (but nonetheless they still deserved some points, i really don't get how the pink android guy from Denmark managed to get some points because he was offkey the whole performance and if it wasn't for vocoder that might've helped him then it would've been really bad for that guy too...) 2024...i guess some problem with the vocals + maybe something technical (it can be seen during the performance Kenzy herself had some problem with ear-in?) :/
