I love the fact that San Martin is the only one that I know of that tours and shares their office/production line....I now own 5 San Martin watches and looking at adding 1 in the sale (SN009 - GS Homage). Kudos to San Martin as well for listening to their customer base.

I'm like you, I'm glad they gave us a glimpse into their world. The process seems to be top notch because I have watched other watch factory videos and most watch companies generally don't have QC for components, or even the entire watch rather (looking at you Seiko). But I digress, SN has lovely watches, the designs are splendid!

Hello old boy. Agree with your comments about San Martin. Indeed, if you look back at the video they did about the higher value SN025 Titanium chronograph , San Martin even write in the comments about the pros and cons and 'pain' of should they have produced that watch. Remarkably transparent for a company, let alone a Chinese company.

I buy San Martin because unlike the giant established watch corporations, San Martin actually listens to what customers want. Sure they take existing designs as a base, but then they listen to what customers do and don't like, and improve these designs through very clever and thoughtful homages, and I applaud this. I bet the big Swiss and Japanese companies are watching what San Martin are doing with the established designs and no-doubt seeing if they can copy them. In fact I have even seen on big Swiss watch brand do this already. I only have one San Martin currently but rest assured - there will be more in future if they keep up the great work they are doing.

Really interesting to see where and how watches are made. This is a great environment and I was really pleased to see that San Martin watches are way more than AliExpress low end Chinese watches... You can see that they're doing their best to deliver good quality watches at the best and right price with real attention to details and will of doing things right way. I'm very happy I found this watch company, I'm waiting for my second watch from them and surely not the last! Please keep up this way, San Martin team!! Purchased a custom dial SN 020-G. I simply can’t understand how they can deliver this level of quality at that price. It’s above all my expectations 360°. Incredible. Hope they will keep this attitude to customers and they will go a long way.

They could have a couple of dry pressure testers done to be fair, although I didn't notice any

@andrew W - with dry air pressure testers, how do you tell if the air gets inside the watch ? Do they use dye inside the air, and if the watch glass changes colour from the coloured gas then that shows the seal was not complete? But, wouldn't that stain the inside of a brand new watch, and make it unable to be sold as a new item?

@@xanthusbalius1830 The ones I've seen remove the air from a chamber with the watch in, this causes air from inside the watch to try to escape. This will cause temporary deformation of the crystal which measured by the tester. If their is no deformation it is assumed the watch is not water resistant.

There is more people for selling watches and replying in Aliexpress chat than actually putting the watch together. The entire place looks fake and put together for display - this is not a factory

Good tour. My only suggestion is that the guide should have used a wireless microphone when shooting this video. It would have greatly improved the legibility of his message. The voice track is a little difficult to be heard because the production house is too reverberant which made the voice too echoey to be heard especially when it was picked up from a distance. Just my 2 cents.

Hi Alex, i bought the San Martin Explorer… the clasp has only two micro-adjustements and doesn’t fit my wrist perfectly. San Martin doesn’t sell me the clasp with 4 Adjustments, after i described my problem… why? thanks

This is an upgraded new clasp. It is an upgraded clasp that we have spent a high cost to produce separately. It is more compatible with small-sized watches, and the ratio reaches a more balanced value.

If you've ever read San Martin's comments on KZbin you'll know they struggle with written English. I suspect this is the case with spoken English too. Saying that, I bet their English is better than my Cantonese.
