Can’t believe it took them so long to make this version tbh. Looks marvellous! I’d prefer the 006 case, but with this 004 is just a tad too small for me, for a diver. I would be surprised if this won’t be a top seller. I mean, with regular sub homages, there is a plethora of options to choose from, smaller or larger differences separating them, but this is basically unrivalled. Really excellent, detailed review of an equally excellent watch. This has to be a no-brainer milsub homage, but equally impressive is that San Martin have added their own ideas so not a slavish copy but a modern update. Don’t know why folks find things to whinge about. VFM is off the charts. So much so that I've ordered one in preference to the Steinhart version. Thanks for the review and much success.

Had mine for a couple of months now. Couple of serious issues to report : first, it is impossible to remove the bracelet on mine. I’ve used several springbar tools to no avail. Secondly, I removed a couple of links from the bracelet which was very easy thanks to the screwed pins. However, if you screw the pins back in without applying thred lock, the pins wiggle loose while wearing the watch and fall out. Thirdly, I received a kaki green nato strap and not a black one. So, I like the wacht but I’m very disappointed by the bracelet.

This a very nicely executed. I still think they should make a titanium version of this exact watch. Just also make the bezel a 60 or 120 click and to me, that would be perfection personified! 😁 great review like always my friend!

Ive been hanging out for this review lol! Something is holding me back a little though.. I think it's the gloss look on a vintage milsub. I think I'd prefer a matte look. Maybe even, dare i say it, with painted markers. No doubt it's a beautifully done watch though. Could just be bias because i have a keeper glossy dress diver already!

This watch is perfect, the only thing I dislike is the font they use for the "AUTOMATIC" and "200m=660ft".... I think it's very basic and wish they would use a more vintage font like on the new sn006g B1, it suits the vintage aesthetics much better. Otherwise it's a gorgeous beautiful watch and I look forward to receiving mine.

I received this watch today. I own an expensive piece and generally the quality of this San Martin is really shocking in a good way. The bezel action is so solid and crisp, the face of the watch is beautifully finished, and the lume is outstanding, as is the articulation of the bracelet. The only problem is my bracelet does have sharp edges. This something I have seen commented by multiple reviewers. Such shame San Martin didn't sort out their QC in this respect.

Very impressed with San Martin watches. However I’ve not purchased as they have no U.K. suppliers. I’m not prepared to buy off aliexpress and then pay VAT, Import taxes and handling charges. Plus if there are any issues returns are a nightmare. Really wish San Martin would find a way to supply U.K. buyers even if it meant an increase in prices

As usual, a good review👍🏼But I am interested in one detail that none of the reviewers of these watches have addressed. It is known that companies such as San Martin and Cronos have made very great strides in refining the appearance and quality of the watches they produce. However, I am curious, what is the manufacturer's claimed water and pressure resistance of these watches? Does the San Martin company test its products the way well-known global brands do? Is the stated 200 atm a real value? Or is it just meaningless information? I ask because even high quality replica watches such as the Rolex Submariner have only 50 atm stated.

I'm confident it is water resistant, but I too am curious if and how San Martin tests their water resistance. I don't think San Martin is just throwing numbers on the dial though. The reason I say that is because I have a San Martin homage to the Omega Seamaster 300 co-axial (SN051). Gorgeous watch. But, the Omega is rated to 300m. Meanwhile, my San Martin states "200M" on the dial. If they were just putting numbers on the dial, I would have expected they would put "300M" on the dial to match the Omega. So, I suspect SM tests the majority of their dive watches to 200m. But, again that's my speculation only. I too would be interested in knowing how SM tests WR.

@@glen193 What you write about is no confirmation that San Martin tests its watches. It is pure speculation on your part. Reputable brands GUARANTEE the water resistance stated on the dial, include various certificates, etc. The method of seating the gasket in the caseback as well as the crown in San Martin is basically the same as in the well-known brands. However, do San Martin manufacturers check their all watches by creating conditions for them, e.g. 200atm ? I am not so sure that at a watch price of about $210 this is realistic. But maybe I'm wrong😊

@@Cybex. Agreed. It is my speculation only - as I stated. I'm not disputing that. I can, however, state I've exposed mine to water (pool, beach, river, rain, etc) and I've experienced no problems. I highly doubt I'll ever do any diving to 200m with it so the depth rating will remain unconfirmed for me; but, by that standard, the same could be said of my Seiko Turtle and my Citizen promaster. OTH, indeed Seiko and Citizen offer further reassurance with their ISO diver certification. But, then I question that sometimes too because my Seiko Turtle exhibits the notorious misaligned bezel and chapter ring (Hello Seiko QC). So, having said that, I sometimes wonder what the ISO certification really means on a dive watch where minutes & seconds certainly matter.... And, at some point, I intend to have my watch shop correct the misaligned bezel and chapter ring on my Seiko Turtle. And, I'll add a saphire since they will have to open the watch at that time. But, by opening the watch to correct the notorious Seiko QC issues, will that affect the warranty and ISO certification? This is why my confidence in the ISO certification with Seiko esp is now questionable for me. Anyway, I guess my point is I'm not 100% confident in any watch manufacturers claims. But, OTH, it's highly unlikely I'll ever be diving to 200m either.

I've just received this model and yes it's a gorgeous piece BUT... I cannot fathom why San Martin has changed the bezel on this model... The 120 click bezel on all previous models was perfect in every way so why change it? This new 90 click bezel has issues with back play, lateral side to side play and does not align. Why San Martin? Why break something that was perfect already? Baffling.

OMG! I've never heard of an NH35 running at +/- 0 seconds per day. I thought I was hearing things. I didn't even realize it was possible to regulate such a cheap movement to perfect accuracy. Even most Rolex's aren't regulated to 0-second accuracy.
