@craigjgomez2 жыл бұрын
Whether it's unfortunate or not, those people knew the situation when they moved there. You make your own choices and decisions based on your needs. There are plenty of similar style homes and neighborhoods in Berkeley, El Sobrante etc. So, some of the comments here reflect a total ignorance of zoning laws and the rights of others to not have to live next to people like this. It's not about collecting fines or focusing on more serious crime. It's about compliance and if it's a violation then it's a citation. You just don't look the other way and ignore it. Besides, this story is only on the news because neighbors were complaining about a problem to police and the police have to respond to citizen complaints. That's their job. As far as one comment about ticketing doesn't solve the problem, it surely will solve the problem. At least two of those cars need to go somewhere else. Another street or a paid parking lot or sell them.
@Mizams19662 жыл бұрын
@@craigjgomez I concur with you. There is a much larger problem in that people are relocating areas where the existing infrastructure cannot accommodate them. When people are allowed to relocate and don't care to conform to the standards of the place they decode to reside, non-conformance makes it bad for existing neighbors. I grew up in the area and it is very clear that there are a lot more people that have been squeezed into Richmond and San Pablo. I have seen on two separate occasions this week, prostitutes on a couple of side streets less than 2 blocks from 23rd Street. There are numerous streets throughout San Pablo and Richmond that you can barely fit 1 car down a 2 way street. However, as long as the powers that be continue to allow our population to drastically increase we all suffer the consequences of overcrowding and overload on our existing resources.

It should be fine if those vehicles move on a weekly basis. Like going to work or the store etc. It's those vehicles parked dead in the street or in someone's yard that need to go. Like fix it and use, or junk it. You cousin Joker's 86 hooptee sitting in the yard until he gets out to fix it up is an eyesore.

Modern day pirates if it wasn't the cars on the sidewalk or in the front yard it will be something else the police aren't happy until everything's a crime how about taking some tax dollars and upgrading the streets in the curves so that there's enough room to park without having your side view mirrors knocked off it's the person's yard leave people alone have these officers got cars parked all over the street and yard
