This movie is no exaggeration. The reason why so many people love it so profoundly and continue watching it again and again despite ending up crying everytime, is because it shows the truth of a large section of Indian society. It gives voice to our collective pain. Girls still are raised to be Saru. Boys still grow up emotionally abandoned like Inder. Parents still choose honor, family name, caste, religion, class blah blah blah over their own child. Love marriages, intercaste, interfaith relationships are still frowned upon. Yes I know things are changing now. Big city folks might not relate at all. But it's the truth so many of us live with. The way Saru chose her father over Inder in the court, is how people still breakup with their partner and go into loveless arrange marriages for the sake of their parents and family. Sanam Teri Kasam will always be special in the hearts that know how to love and have known the pain that comes with the loss of that love.

I can watch this movie again and again. 💗 This movie is dark but most beautiful and full of emotions, and not only emotions, but with lessons about life, which everyone should learn that how beautiful are our lives but, sometimes parents forget that their child is a human too, not a god. They can make mistakes too. So it's parents' duty to guide his/her child towards the right path and accept them with their flaws which are actually not flaws, but those are only for super strict parents.

Some ppl enjoy getting judged. Until they hear daily how backward India is, they can't sleep at night. Love hearing how cringe their choices are. Suggesting stuff that mostly popular in Balaji Soap Opera universe community is already a red flag. Some ppl just don't understand why some movies flop in general. They don't even understand these reactors are basically doing their job and trying to keep them happy while feeling cringe and uncomfortable. If someone genuinely likes something, they won't be so economical in expressing how much they liked it. They won't stop gushing about it. They will always say it was great since they know how much a portion of their subs been recommending it like crazy. Not like they will ever express how they actually felt. But who will teach those who finds this as a masterpiece?

I told you in first part get ready for crying but after watching this movie I watched this movie every time it's showing on TV . Because two leads has such cute chemistry and the Library scene in end and lift scene in start of the movie are my favorites and when she drinks bhang and song comes, such a blast . Love this movie great performance. Bad things happen in life but you have to remember good thing also. If her father never abandon her she never know inder closely. If her father don't complain about him she never learn about inder's feelings. Inder always with her and help her without something in return he knows he didn't get her if she marries but for her he sacrificed his love. It's beautiful writing, always something bad in our lives but you have to look at the bright side of it. That's life. ☺☺☺😄😄😄 and by the way HI......... KRISTON 😁😁😁 YOU ARE HOT 🔥AND🌺 BEAUTIFUL .

Firstly, I love your reactions a lot! And yes this movie is very depressing, the actress herself discribed saru very beautifully. She said the character of Saraswati is just a girl, who has been rejected all her life... everyone rejects her, even her parents refused to take her in after one mistake which she doesn't even make, at the end even life rejected her. The character took a toll on her as well, so much rejection can create self doubt in oneself even if the actress knows she was just acting. This movie is very depressing but very beautiful. It shows certain messages, of respect towards parents should not be one way, of parents needing to understand their child. Of forgiveness and love. A eternal love as Inder shows in the end.
