@@namelessband4L123 Had my husband been murdered that might have felt extremely uncomfortable. He died of a heart attack while he was at work, so my brain didn't really make the connection. I think, if anything, I was able to use the Sole Survivor's situation as an outlet for my grief. It's rather similar to the writing I do. Journaling never did much for me, but I can create a fictional character and pour all the chaotic feelings into a person who exists only in my mind. For anyone looking for shovels in Sanctuary, there are 2 present at the beginning of the game: one leaning up against the wall at the Rosa house and another lying down in the driveway of the.... second unscrappable (blue) house from the entrance bridge. There's also one in the basement behind the prepper guy's house. If you want them, throw them in a mailbox so you don't accidentally scrap them. :)

I most recently had a build inspired by the walled city of Kowloon. I built a walled structure of the concrete blocks from the Warehouse parts and built it 1 block short of the upper bound limit (I used County Crossing as it had a big, flat surface to use). I then built a generator shack, then started building haphazardly from the top down. I made it mazelike and dangerous with lots if exposed lighting and a mix of the more ramshackle shack bits and mis-matched metal walls. I then spread out random-ass light strings, cycling lights, fancy chandeliers, any sort of random lights. Although I didn't put a lot of effort into the interiors (I just used Sim Settlements to create interior plots) I am happy with the warren of stairs, quarters, dangerous drops, sparks, and other mess in the actual structure. Had to abuse the heck out of the settlement size glitch though...

Saw another builder video, make grow tables out of Vault Table, Rug, and plants and they will grow. Also echo purple lights.. can the square lights be placed horizontally under a fluorescent fixture? Or even a box fluorescent light covered in purple tile lights. Another idea is use the conduits as distribution pipes over the growing beds, about 6" above the surface. Could also attach an alarm clock or small electronic device over the pipe to simulate a ph/water quality meter. Someone mentioned aquaponics (using fish water as a nutrient source for the plants) and I was wondering on how to build a large tank... 3 concrete walls and a glass wall, snap water on top, insert fish somehow (where to get fish.. mahkra packing?).

Very nice, I made a furniture store, using all the furniture, rugs, and stuff from the Sanctuary houses. For each house put the rug outside the house and then put the furniture on it and then moved the rug into the building. Made living room, Kitchen, and office sections in the store using only what I could move of the original items. Made it in the same place you made this. Make a bar on the other side of the 'workstation house'. used a lot of glass also. Inside area and outside seating. Currently I have a covid testing station as the entry at the bridge. Tried to do that glass railing idea you did in another video, but due to having 3 flat roof ties I am having issues getting two of them up there on the flat roof edge. 4:20 Just FYI plants dont need UV light. They just need red and blue light. Plants dont get any benefit from green light, so you dont even need a white light source. A mix of red and blue is enough and can save you a lot of energy by not projecting the unused green. Most grow lights are now LEDs that give off a purple light.

At this point, I can only assume that your name is Emmitt, because you're the Master Builder. 🎶 "Everything is awesome!" 🎶 Edit: having all the wiring and such hidden like you do, WHICH IS AMAZING, is a bit immersion breaking to me. I kind of like having haphazard generators and wires. You mentioned in a much earlier video that if the Vault Dweller knew how to build a generator, then they would know how to wire a house, but we don't actually know that the Vault Dweller knows how to build a generator. All we know is that one is available through the workshop. It could be that the generators were already IN the workshops. It's not like home generators are umcommon irl. Anyway, that's my headcanon, and you're the best!

I took away all power generators and still had lights on in a 2x2 area with no power. Long story short I found out that the wifi glitch powered up the power line itself. Oh wow! I just realized that you're uploading some recently. That's awesome! One of your videos I seen this in the background which gave me some ideas. I do have a question about something but let me explain kind of what I did. I actually made a 4 story elevator on that same plot. I didn’t notice the elevator thing until I built things above the main house that they work on "for years". Lol So when I put the elevator in, I did have some trouble getting the two buildings together since they are at a different angle. I got it the way I actually like. Here's the question. On the elevator, there's buttons to push to go to which floor, 4 levels...4 buttons. I just noticed yesterday that it's gone. Those buttons. Any way to get them back? I like to enter at the bottom of that plot so I have access to a workbench that I can quickly transfer but I do enjoy going up to my floor on the top which has all of my special things. Since the buttons are gone from the elevator, I gotta walk up the steps. I think I may have broken it by accidentally throwing a frag when moving things around. I did try to destroy the buttons from a new one I made just to see if that was it but for some reason I can't. Maybe bug. I should probably just start over with building sanctuary since I've been learning at lot from your videos. I did try to put a new elevator in the same place but it won't snap in. Apologies for the long comment. There's so much more to learn from you and I truly appreciate your videos! I'm glad I read that comment in the reviews section for this game on Xbox to look you up. You simplify things. I wouldn't be surprised if you're a real teacher. I have problems with comprehension so your videos make it so much better. You also sound very cool. I would have added another set of glass walls on the top floor to gain more space at this level of the building. I did the same building for a player home.

Indeed, but interestingly enough, Sanctuary has a max ceiling height of like 4-5 stories. I actually tried to make it a level higher and then I couldn't add the angled roofs on top of that.

How on earth do you make the neon light squares work? I couldn’t do that, even when I wired it into power, or make the first hanging light in the lights menu glow different colours like you did either. Hoping I’ll stumble over it in another video!

This was one of the more advanced videos. Have you started from the beginning of the playlist?

@@SkooledZone oh, thanks for the reply! I will revisit them. You’re definitely my favourite Master Builder 👷 I hope you make some more videos with the Enclave set, unless you have already and I’ve not gotten to that bit yet!

Have you considered just walling off a majority of the Sancturary houses and only keeping a few for builds. Maybe even some lore being they are mid renovation?

That would make sense because it turns out Sanctuary is too big to build up the entre property.
