This one is among my favourites, it feels like a liveable town.

There's something nice and warm about the brown brick homes in this mod. I guess it feels less sterile than what the vanilla game used, at least to me.

I really like the village feel of this mod, I absolutely love the stone buildings, its not as clean as the present mod I have chosen but I will definitely keep this in mind if I make another play through.

This is always how I wanted Sanctuary to look like - a town surrounded by a wide river and maybe a lake containing a nice amount of homes and structures and such. Defensible because in an attack people don't really swim to the target. In a way I'm glad it wasn't becasue I probably wouldn't have left. lol
@FebrithDarkstar2 жыл бұрын
Yes he did a great job on making it feel like it's going to be a lively and vibrant town and the mix of buildings works really well to contribute towards that feeling:)
@GailOlm2 жыл бұрын
What a nice variety of homes, buildings, and shops! Like you said, I think Sanctuary looks like a proper town. I like seeing features that aren’t often seen in overhaul mods such as the clocktower and the children’s’ park. The fishing and dock areas along the riverbank are great because they open up the settlement and make it larger. To me, the settlement looks realistic because it’s been cleaned up but still shows a bit of wear, giving the impression that settlers are actually trying to improve their lot in life rather than being content with shacks and trash on their floors.

This is the one I recommended to you when I first saw your early video about sanctuary being a mess, this is the one I use but I used the creation kit to build most of the empty rooms (so that I don’t have to do it every time I make a new play through) so I have a version thats pretty much fully built up. :)
@FebrithDarkstar2 жыл бұрын
Oh that's a brilliant idea! I was thinking just that the other day - when I make a settlement I really like and don't want to have to do it over again. In EQ2 we used something called the Layout Editor which enabled you to save your build and then recreate it at the touch of a button elsewhere - if only we could do that here so simply!
@replays_gaming42002 жыл бұрын
@@FebrithDarkstar I find the creation kit the best way to do it, you could try the mod "transfer settlements" which lets you save a blueprint of a settlement and then reload it in future playthroughs, but the bigger your settlement is the longer it takes to do and if you so much as move funny whilst its doing it you get a CTD, some people have great success with it, but i once found it took nearly an hour to copy back a settlement i'd made so I stopped using it, I just build in the CK now cause I'm so used to it,

I'm with you on the, "so many good Sanctuary mods". I have not tried this one yet. Haven't tried very many of them yet, truth be told. I think I run into trouble because I would need to start a new playthrough to prevent conflict with all I already have in game in a more advanced playthrough. This is where mods that change known world spaces have a disadvantage compared to those that are created in their own world space. I can add in a new home somewhere that has never had a home but mayhem will follow an attempt to just drop a new layout onto one previously discovered and perhaps modded already. I think next playthrough, before I get too far along, I will go on a bit of a marathon to test out a number of contenders. Sort out those that speak to me but get the chance to explore and enjoy all the creativity before making hard choices. This one is on the list for sure because it looks like it fits. A prosperous town before the disaster and still doing pretty good for itself. The church roof is sad though. I hate to think I will need to use the build feature to cover those holes with the carboard, rusty tin and spit glue that seems to pass for construction materials in the vanilla game. All I can conclude is that the people of the Commonwealth are used to having rainwater dripping down their necks pretty well everywhere that might laughingly be called indoors. I don't know about you but when I hear that the loo has running water I don't want that to mean falling on my head.
@FebrithDarkstar2 жыл бұрын
Lol exactly :XD Also, I think that's why I was rushing at the end of my first playthrough, because I already knew a couple that I wanted to check out, including the Age of Airships (because I couldn't get that one to start in my first game - I think I was too far in). So this time I'm taking more time to smell the roses:)
