@pathosbedlam Sand is highly compressible, so to preserve it the artist just needs to top off the bottle with some overfill, and then screw the lid down tight. The pressure of the lid on the top-fill will keep everything in place even if the bottle is shaken.

Nice. It's basically like a 360 degree panorama shot, but seen from the outside looking in. The only problem is, after all this work, how do you sell it to pay the bills. You probably have to be very careful with it. You could get a nice effect using some UV reactive sand and a Dark Light setup. Also wouldn't hurt to fill the container and seal it. Glass does look better, but Clear resin tubes would be less likely to break. I like the picture though. Good job. If it was more solid I'd get one.

who said art can only be done on paper and walls? what do you call the movies you watch? or the music you listen to? its not constrained to paper or walls? it a bit sad to have such a strict definition of art because you miss out on the rest that can also be considered art? Sculptures are art and they are not on paper or walls? David, or The Thinker are great pieces of art! What about hand painted Greek pots? thats not paper or walls either! Give your self a little bit more room to define art!
