They are surprisingly quite good. My friend best described it tasted like a seafood cracker.

@@TomyTekOutdoors I’m excited man. Is it weird to say I’ve been craving something I’ve never had before? Lol
@TomyTekOutdoors Жыл бұрын
@@ctwells40 not at all. I was excited to try them. I have used them for bait for a long time and never thought about eating. After seeing someone else eat them. I had to give them a try. Make sure you rinse them well too get most of the sand out of them. Let me know what you think of them.

Thank you. We are going to try this again the next time we go to the OBX. I didn't either until I saw them eating sand fleas on a TV show. I was suprised how good they taste.

It was a fun video to make. We are trying to plan another trip down there with the kids. I'll make the same video with the kids. I wonder if their reactions will be the same. They are much bigger now.

Hello sir-we just met you at kiptopeke when launching our boat this evening. We landed a huge eel (over 30”) and a gar both in the dark. Should be interesting tomorrow. Nice sand flea video my man! New subscriber here ✌🏼

is it possible to peel them and just eat the meat?
@TomyTekOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
There is not much meat in them. If you peeled them, there wouldn't be much of anything left. Thanks for watching.

Fry them alive? When I was a girl, I used to catch them name them and then let them go... I guess frying them alive is no different than steaming crabs. How do you know that you can eat all of the sand flea? I mean you can't eat all of the crab

for the kids, everything tastes like a nugget 😂. I thought a seafood cracker was a better description of the taste.
