The criticism is not that the reviewer's openion differs from our expectations, it's that the reviewer's verdict disagrees with their own review's body. The criticism in the body seems to be mostly about smaller aspects such as dialogs and cutscenes, which are not unimportant, but usually don't tank a game with solid gameplay, feel, characters, and world building to an "Okay" verdict.

It's IGN and all but having played the game now; he isn't wrong. The game's barely 20 gigs because they use generic animations for most of the cutscenes instead of making unique ones to capture the essence of the shots of the manga panels.
