First of all, this arcade game reminds me of the old Amiga games BATTLE SQUADRON and HYBRIS. Both of them are still the legendary classic games 😺👍🕹️🕹️. Second of all, thank you, AL82, for sharing the old retrospective longplay videos of the Commodore 64 and Amiga games 😺👍🕹️. Thanks for showing this game, I’d never heard of it. Everyone seems to be comparing it unfavourably with Raiden but I love most games of this style from the early nineties with a variety of power-ups and before bullet hell started to take over. Mad Shark is similar, and another I enjoy even though it’s not well known. Happy New Year!

A beginner's Raiden.

So I see a few influences so far. Raiden, as others have said, but that flying wing boss comes straight out of Konami’s Lightning Fighters. It had the same overhead flight before you get to the actual fight. And I don’t know what they were thinking with the music, but if you’re going to rip something off, why the heck would you pick 1942? I don’t know anyone who enjoys shmups that’s ever said anything positive about that game’s “soundtrack.” And Sand Scorpion apes it a little too well. EDIT: I just realized that sound isn’t the music but the weapons! Good lord this game is not my cup of tea at all.

Looks like a bootleg version of Raiden. The music is very generic and the enemy design has that been there done that kind of look to them.
