Regarding Melia dubia(Malabar neem) , if one can plant 1000 trees per acre, after 8 - 10 years, you may get a net profit of 50 lakhs, because so many are planting the same and once the market is flushed with the same, price may come down.

ഒരു കാലത്തു റബ്ബർ ആയിരുന്നു. എല്ലാവരും നിലം പോലും നികത്തി വയലിൽ പോലും റബ്ബർ നട്ടു. ഇപ്പോൾ റബ്ബറിന് വിലയില്ല. പലരും വെട്ടികളയുന്നു. പിന്നെ മാഞ്ചിയം, തേക്ക് വന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ മാഞ്ചിയത്തിനു വിറകു വില, തേക്കിനും വിലയില്ല. ഒരു തേക്കോ മഞ്ചിയമോ വെട്ടാൻ മിനിമം 3000 രൂപ ആകും. കയറ്റു കൂലി അതിലും കൂടുതൽ. അവസാനം ഉടമക്ക് വിറകു കിട്ടും. ഇനി ചന്ദനം കണ്ടറിയാം.

ഇപ്പം എല്ലാം കിട്ടും, ജൂലൈ മാസം ആയിട്ട് പോലും ഒരു തുള്ളി മഴ പോലും ഇല്ല, ഈ വക തള്ള് കേട്ട് കൃഷിക്കാർ വിശ്വസിക്കും എന്ന് തോന്നുന്നില്ല. പട്ടയ ഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരു തേക്ക് മുറിക്കാൻ പാസ്സ് എടുക്കാൻ പോയാൽ എങ്ങനെ പാസ്സ് കൊടുക്കാതെ ഇരിക്കും എന്നാണ് ഫോറെസ്റ്റ്, റെവനു വകുപ്പുകൾ നോക്കുന്നത്. അന്നേരം അല്ല ചന്ദനം 🙏

റംബൂട്ടാൻ, മംഗോസ്റ്റീൻ കൃഷി ചെയ്താൽ 3-4 വർഷം മുതൽ അതിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരു വരുമാനം കിട്ടി തുടങ്ങും. വെറുതെ 10-15 വർഷം കളയണോ.

കുരുമുളക് തൈക്കു താങ്ങുകൾ ആയിട്ടാണ് മലവേമ്പ് വാങ്ങിയത് അത് കൊണ്ട് വന്നു ഒരാഴ്ച കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ellam ഉണങ്ങിപോയി മഴ കൊള്ളിക്കാതെ വെക്കാൻ പറഞ്ഞു നമ്മൾ അതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു ഇപ്പോൾ 12 ദിവസം. ആയി എല്ലാ വെപ്പും ഉണങ്ങി പോയി നല്ല പൈസ കൊടുത്താണ് വാങ്ങിയത് അതുപോയി ഇവരെ വിളിക്കുമ്പോൾ നമ്മൾ പൈസ കൊടുത്തു മനപ്പൂർവം വാങ്ങിയ സാദനം കേട് വരുത്തിയതുപോലെ ആണ് സംസാരം വാങ്ങുന്നവർ അവിടെ പോയ്‌ വാങ്ങാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുക അതാണ് നല്ലത് അല്ലെങ്കിൽ എന്റെ അനുഭവം ഉണ്ടാകാൻ സാദ്യത ഉണ്ട് വിളിക്കുമ്പോൾ പിന്നെ സംസാരത്തിന്റെ രീതി മാറി ഞാൻ ഇവരുടെ ഡെലിവരിയിൽ വിഡസൈച്ചു അതുകൊണ്ട് എനിക്ക് കിട്ടി നല്ല ഒരു പണി

I have 5 year old Melia dubia trees around 200 trees. Growth is not uniform after 1 year. Only some will grow. Out of 200 in an acre around 20 trees are growing as expected. Not sure it is really a good farming.7 years is not enough for tree maturity. It will be just in fiber form inside and no one will take this. By seeing the growth i think it takes 12 years for proper growth for sale. And we don't have any advantage in doing this Melia dubia. In telengana lot of people are growing this. I think people in Kerala should focus on crops where we have clear advantage like rambutan which cannot be grown in many other states. Can you show one episode with a plywood manufacturer and give a clear message to audience. There are lot of farmers in Kerala totally confused. There is no support from government on regulation of such farming. As the farmer said it is an experiment let's not waste 10 years for an experiment. Let's hear from people who practice this farming and take decision.
