SANDF soldiers deployed to DRC at risk says union

The SA National Defence Union's Pikkie Greeff says the deployment of SANDF to the DRC was hasty, and has put the soldiers at risk due to equipment shortages. This follows reports that the soldiers are working under unbearable conditions.

SANDF should return soldiers 'cause it's failing to provide all necessary equipment and there shouldn't be any deployment to DRC until this matter is resolved. We know they are under oath but they have families which cannot afford to lose them. I fully agree with the news reporter this is a "suicide mission".

Combat engineers should have been sent in first to establish a FoB with a fortified perimeter and prefab infrastructure. How can you have no doctors. this is a fail.

In African wars the best training for defense is train them guerilla tactics, bush tactics and jangle warfare because M23 rebels fighters their ben train in Afghanistan now they that SADC would not defeat them,, and their leader General Salten makenga was in Afghanistan on November last year when he came back he landed in the central Africa Republic airport and alot of people don't know....
