You guys are good tim. I gotta agree with sandhagen. Really though it depends on how you look from your career. Do you want more money with an astrix next to your name if by some chance you win a title or do you want to be know as a def champion! Tyson, Ali, Conor, khabib level of certain champion

Not going to lie bro I’m far from being healthy but I you guys inspire me to do better. The highest I know for a fact I got up to on the scale was 313 pounds. I’m now down to 226 pounds or so. I’ve almost lost 100 pounds since having my baby girl a year ago. And you guys are literally the only pod I watch that is always focused on being a better version of ourselves. I remember buying a pair of sweats from the suga shop after his fight in the Middle East. They didn’t fit at all. Even though I had bought XXL. I tried them on this week and I could totally wear them now and not look like a retard. Shoutout to you guys. Don’t ever stop the way you go about business

No one seems to be mentioning that Suge actually IS fighting the best and WANTS to fight the best. He just fought Yan and he's about to fight Sterling. He's always spoken about how he wants to fight Cejudo, wants to fight Chito again, looks forward to fighting Sandhagen... Shane is and will be fighting the best and will get paid the best for it at the same time.

You should fight the worst guy for the most money slowly build your skill set and bank account. That doesn't mean you won't fight the best it just puts you in a better position when you do. Corey's basically saying using your brain is a 'weak mindset'

8:33 Until Corey has a career changing moment where he tears something or gets KO'd. This is the fight game. Get. Paid. And although Sean said fight the worst person for the most amount of money...I mean I'd reframe that as pick the most favorable matchups for yourself because your body/health is the money maker. You're like a vehicle that's only going to depreciate over time.

Cory's perspective is understandable and I admire his mentality of legacy over greed/fame. Sean is undeniably flashy, but I don't think flashiness is always associated with greed. There is obviously something to be said about the importance of cementing a prolific legacy, but it's also hard to ignore how entertainment is the name of the game these days, so can't exactly blame Sean or call him weak minded for using his personality/antics to his financial advantage. The clashing philosophies of fighters often leads to these misunderstandings. Either way Sean vs. Cory is a sweet matchup to make and I can't wait to see the two of them finally meet in the cage.

Both sides of the argument have merit. Fact of the matter is at the end of the day all fighters are business people, whether they like to think of themselves as such or not. A fighter can choose to be a good businessperson, or not. A fighter just might not care that much. 99% of the time, the UFC will not be nearly invested in a fighter's success as much as the fighters themselves. Same goes for managers and agents. And it's unrealistic to expect them to be. The logic of taking the lowest risk for highest reward is so sound, it's a basic fundamental business principle. Being an "anyone, anytime, anywhere" bushido warrior is very cool. It will win you fans and taking a few calculated risks can pay off and land you some nice dividends in the end - whether it be financial gain, glory, or something more personal. One unlucky break and it can set you back. But that's an inherent risk all fighters face. Business people seek to minimize risk, and so do most successful fighters when they're inside the cage. I don't believe most great fighters are stepping into a cage thinking to themselves "Hmm, how can I take the most damage and still get out of here with the dub?" I've watched a lot of sports over the years, and when retired athletes are interviewed and asked if they have any regrets or would they have done anything differently, a very common response I've heard is they wish they would have managed their careers better. More carefully. I've never really heard a retired athlete say they wish they had taken more risks in regards to their overall career. I wouldn't be surprised if someone has said it, but I've personally never heard it.
