honestly think that's a sign of his level (and the level of fighting at 135, especially at the top). If someone doesn't belong there, Cory hurts them bad or finishes him, but since the top 135ers are so, so evenly matched, finishes become increasingly rare.

Not relevant, but wanted to share... Was kinda just vibing last night, had a boxing compilation playing in the back. I start watching one of the clips... For the record, oxygen supplementation does NOTHING for anyone that isn’t oxygen depleted, which is no athlete ever, in any circumstance. You don’t breathe heavily because you need more oxygen, but because of CO2 buildup in the blood. This is day one of physiology class. Should oxygen supplements be illegal? Cory has a style that includes a lot of activity, creativity, adaptability and awkwardness that can cause problems for many fighters and Vera is a perfect example of this. Vera has a style that has him wait for openings and opportunities to come to him. Cory prevented Vera’s chances of capitalizing on those opportunities by being more active with faints, striking volume and takedowns as well as using his defensive movement to move away from any potential attacks from Vera.
