Sandi Griffiths discusses her time working on The Lawrence Welk Show from 1968 to 1980

Sandi Griffiths joined The Lawrence Welk Show as part of the singing duo “Sandi & Sally” in 1968. After graduating from Brigham Young, they moved to Hollywood and auditioned for Mr. Welk who was replacing The Lennon Sisters at the time. Lawrence was instantly impressed and invited them to become permanent cast members. Sandi was also teamed up as a trio with Gail Ferrell and Mary Lou Metzger.

Sandi and Sally and then the trio Gail, Sandi and Mary Lou were my all time favorite acts on the show. They were such great singers and so beautiful. I wish I had all the performances on high definition video.
