Happy summer, Sandi! This may be one of my favorite videos of yours. :) Thanks for all the care you put into it. I really enjoy your plein air landscape painting sequences. I got inspired to try acrylic inks that way for landscapes and am really enjoying it. I don't know that I would have thought to buy those mega-moleskine sketchbooks without seeing how you use them. I have two now: in one I'm working on a children's illustrated story and the other I want to work on landscapes outside. I like how your appreciation for Roger Coleman's work showed up Sandi-style in your color choice and composition in your piece with the house and water. Glad you three had a fun trip. Thanks for sharing so much of your process.

You had me cracking up with your bathroom situation. That aside, what a beautiful setting, and the bird songs were so nice. A massage session is definitely a necessary business expense. I enjoyed the format of the video going back and forth between fieldwork and studio time/flip throughs. As always, Sandi, another great video. So inspiring and so many beautiful colors. I love flipping through art books so this was a great treat. Sandi: out of matt medium and uses acryla gouache to adhere collage elements. Does she think it's going to work? No, but she keeps going. 😆 Caution to the wind! You are truly a joy to watch. Have a great weekend and do some yoga stretches, your body will thank you.

I love who I think is Polish maybe Czech artist that you brought in starts with a K. The whole trip was refreshing, delightful and inspiring. I’m guessing that you drink water and take care of your electrolytes off camera… I hope so! By the way full disclosure I have peed in many a situation outside, by the road, behind a tree, ducking behind a boulder, la la la. The fact is most other people never even notice. Wow! The Audubon book is a find! Lucky you Sandi. This' from Wikipedia: 'About 1820, around the age of 35, Audubon declared his intention to paint every bird in North America. In his bird art, he mainly forsook oil paint, the medium of serious artists of the day, in favour of watercolours and pastel crayons (and occasionally pencil, charcoal, chalk, gouache, and pen and ink). As early as 1807, he developed a method of using wires and threads to hold dead birds in lifelike poses while he drew them.' He definitely didn't enjoy the benefits of a camera lol. Thanks for another entirely lovely video, so good.
