Ok, admiring your work ethic and learning the skills, hope it goes well. I have to say on this one, I bet the bondo on there is going to come back and bite the owner, and maybe you, too.. It is probably hiding rust under there, and bondo attracts water, which will bubble eventually. Just so ya know. Best wishes. Like the Camaro, too. Looks like a monster engine in there.

The kicker is I can weld I went to the school for welding that's how I got my job in the body shop as a fabricator I would have cut the metal out weld it in and then skim coated it

Distance may prove to be difficult, but never impossible! I started by working on my own vehicles or family and friends. Slowly, I moved up to working on subscriber's vehicles.. a bit more time and who knows, I just might start traveling to pick up / work on more cars.

thats goods progress for a days work. cant wait to see how or what you do with that trunk lip or spoiler. if you do decide to make it permanent and blend it to look like one piece, you might want to try 3M Panel Adhesive. Ive seen my mechanic use it on some body panels etc. good job man

I'd be a little worried about what's under some of that ugly Bondo! Hate to put a bunch of work getting it flat, smoothe and put a good paint job on it for it to bubble rust out bad in all those spots in 18 months!

Digging the progress!! Question: 320 for the whole car and 80 to drop the build up of bondo?

I started with 320, but later I went with 220 to speed up the process, and 80 is good to sand the bondo then work it up from there.
