Thank you! I was trying to figure out how to make a baseboard contour sanding block. This is the most clever and easy solution. Much better than molding a contour out of Bondo body filler and cheaper too.

Love the advice on following the contour line by shaping the foam with PSA sticky paper. Appreciate the video; I already have some 1" foam laying around I'm going to have to try some block sanding with.

Excellent idea! I was looking for a wider sanding block and so far I've only found 3&1/2'' wide. This idea of yours should do nicely and I think I even have a few small pieces of the pink stuff in the garage.

Knowing how to sand would help a lot. That would work great on small or curves but anything longer than about 5 inches and your making more work. Just have to watch so you don't gouge where the edges are that's why you cross block. Also rigid blocks work best.

I just ask for sticky backed sand paper. Most auto paint and parts stores carry it. It's usually behind the counter.
