Anyone viewing this, use IPA to dissolve the adhesive, don't use an Olfa knife, if you don't have any IPA, then use WD40/CRC it will also dissolve the adhesive, last resort, use some nail polish remover...

I have a friend who has this drive and says it’s “dead”. I recommended he take out the old M.2 and put it in a new enclosure. Do you have an enclosure recommendation? I found a few on Amazon for around $18 that as far as I know will work (assuming his drive is still alive of course).

I just use either a sabrent nvme or a orico one. I have a couple on my Amazon storefront you can check out, I think under my ROG ally accessories list. Feel free to NOT use my store but I know they are on there The links are in my profile if needed

0:35 mine actually had that glue missing so it got loose and fell out inside. i bought it as "for parts" from ebay but just reinserting it with some glue fixed it. currently using it in my pc :) what are you doing with yours? just curious

I did this with the older SanDisk extreme portable and no other ssd’s in there didn’t work.

No it’s too slow. You can use it as external storage for ps4 games though on the ps5

i try swaping nvme you can not use other nvme in it sadly

Did you try with an nvme or sata? M.2? Could be hard locked to Sandisk/WD drives. If that’s the case another WD would work but other brands won’t. Not unusually for Western Digital

So it not 1000MB/s write… Thank you for this video as it reassures me that my non-mounting computer crashing SanDisk 1TB Extreme NVe can just be extract in hope of mounting it directly to access my invaluable files.

there are two versions, older relased something like 3 years ago that has around 500mbs write and new one with 1000mb/s write
