Their thoughts stop when they get Stasis'd by Trazyn, and the only ones that don't are those he wanted to keep thinking or time sensitive creatures so to them, they were in a fight the next moment, then they're in a fight in another. It also helps that Trazyn infects them with Mind Shackle Scarabs that make them think Necrons are their allies.

1)tell this story to any imperial theologist and they'd call Trazyn "Emperor's hand". Given how influential Emperor is in warp and especially in Astronomicon range, that may be partially true. We don't know how many rolls Trazyn was supposed to fail that day after all. 2)if Abaddon said that, that means even he sees current state of Imperium and of his own forces as bleak mistake, a joke of the gods. I can expect that from Archaon, but I don't think that sentiment suits Abaddon.

It's pure plot armour. That's why noone likes him. He's doing what Horus (a primarch with all 4 Chaos Gods looking at him) couldn't do. And the Emperor sacrificed himself to kill him. And furthermore, he has chaos powers but isn't under any chaos control? Bullshit. Noone is that smart nor that powerful. Even the Emperor himself needed contingency and sacrifice to avoid coming under the sway of chaos or becoming a chaos God himself. So why is Abaddon exempt from all the rules that keep Primarchs, Chaos God's and the Emperor from literally winning warhammer 40k?

For us 40k old heads Abaddon suffers from villain decay. He's the big bad that has been foiled and chased off again and again in Imperial history. It created the impression of him being ineffective until he cracked Cadia. The writers presenting that as his plan all along still falls flat for some of us.

Also if anyone wondering to what happened to the Custodes The Custodes deployed by Trazyn the Infinite during the fall of Cadia were tasked with securing an important relic from the Imperial palace of the planet. They succeeded in their mission and were able to safely extract the artifact from the chaos-infested planet. They were able to hold their own against the overwhelming odds and defeated the Chaos forces to ensure a successful mission. The Custodes returned the relic to Trazyn the Infinite, fulfilling their oath and returning to their duty as the elite bodyguard of the Emperor of Mankind.

When will people learn... I am from where warhammer is from. I pronounce it how the people who write the books pronounce it. Games Workshop also made a video saying thats how youre supposed to pronounce it. It is not pronounced Ezekiel. There are other characters in the setting who are named Ezekiel for reference, but their names are not spelt Ezekyle, they're spelt Ezekiel
