@@flamingfrancis Lets unpack this a bit. There's a couple of things going on here. First we have the ball tampering. Which we all know is bad as it is. There's arguments to made that what they did was worse than other case, but that isn't my point... Then we have people abusing their position of power (Smith and Warner and probably others) to coerce a young malleable player to their dirty work for them. They intentionally chose a player they knew wouldn't say no. It's one thing to tamper with the ball, another to get a junior player to your dirty work. Not a good character reference hey? To my knowledge, this is probably the worst case for ball tampering that I am aware of. How they used Bancroft is far worse than the ball tampering itself which is bad enough as it is. Not as though he used lollies or pitch turf either...

Mate, this was a disgraceful incident which was severely condemned in Australia and players were banned for a year. A commentators role is to give their opinion on whatever they see no matter who the player is or where they are from. Kohli was clearly at fault in the konstas collision and was rightfully condemned. You need to understand that Australian media and commentators also hold their own to high standards... As an Australian I was often embarrassed of our poor behaviour regarding sledging and have experienced my whole life this approach to the game but it is part of the game. Bringing a foreign material/object onto the field to interfere with a ball is not part of the game nor is physical contact.
