Regardless of what was scripted she seems a bit 'off'. I actually started being uncomfortable just by looking at her. Her body language was very weird right from the start of the clip (fingers on her left hand), her gaze went in different directions in a bit weird way (granted she was trying to remember all the ladies from the movie)... like what the heck happened to her? Or maybe she was always like this, I think up until now I have never seen her anywhere except in movies:)

@@Ddd-gx7lz german here, have been living in germany my whole life. most of the older people here (40+) who are native germans don't really know any other languages than german and usually some english (simple vocabulary, not great speakers) because we learn it in school. most people between 15-35 can have normal conversations in english, but our school system isn't the best, so we don't really get taught much. people who went to one of the higher education schools (gymnasium, for example) learn a third language there, i learned french for a couple of years, but i can't really speak it fluently. so well, it depends on who you're talking to really, i wouldn't expect older, native germans to be able to immediately switch to another language when you're asking them to tbh

Because most Americans go through their entire lives without learning a second language, and when they do it's usually Spanish or French. They also don't travel a lot, they simply don't seem interested in doing it, I don't know why that is, but it's sure the reason why they act like people that don't live in the same bubble as them are some kind of extraterrestrial beings.

Sandra Bullock was my crush and absolute role model in high school back in the late 1990's. She was sweeter back in those days. She does seem aggressive in interviews for the past while. I think that the hardships of bad roles (Speed 2), relationship troubles with Matthew McConnauhey, the death of her mother, Helga, and being a mother to two youngsters has worn her out. I'll always love her though.

It has been well known she is German for a long time, I've seen her talk about it in a lot of interviews. By the way she once did a speech at a German movie festival in German and though her vocabulary is rusty her pronunciation is flawless. They should let her speak German in movies as opposed to Michael Fassbender who has a strong accent. (No need to guess where I'm from ;) )

DOS_SkywalkR She speaks with a sometimes quite heavy franconian accent, when speaking German. And if the assholes would not have censored her swearword you could have noticed that she did roll the "r" in Arschloch. Which is o.k. with me and understandable because she grew up in Nuremberg. But generally she is refusing to speak German herself when doing interviews for German speaking media. If she would dub her own movies for the German speaking market, she would have to do a proper speech training for standard German. Otherwise it would be necessary to explain, why in each of her roles (which generally take place in an American setting) she incorporates a Franconian woman. That would be unintentionally funny.

ArmAd Spengler I think she'd still do better than Arnold Schwarzenegger if he voiced himself xD thank goodness that never happened, one of the few exceptions where German dubbing improved movies. But yeah I've noticed that she avoids speaking it because of the rusty vocabulary, I think her German mom passed away a while ago, probably one of the reasons.
