It shouldn't take Sandra Tanner an entire lifetime to determine rather or not Mormonism (Jesus Christ) is legit! A Mormon author commented that you might think that the Tanners mean well and are just trying help you to be saved, but however they know what they're doing.

Pinky pink: We will sure find out, when she goes before the judge of the quick and the dead, now, won't we? As she says, she knew that the Book of Mormon was true, and that was, because she asked of our Heavenly Father. She now has recanted that knowledge, and is now calling our Heavenly Father a liar! What was once true, is not true now, according to her. How do you think that is going to go before that judge of the quick and dead? She is in a bad way, and she is growing harder and more bitter as time progresses. Now that she has rejected the Lord telling her, that the church is true, where do you think she will ever find relief? There will be no other church upon the face of this earth, that will give here that peace she first had with the Church Of Jesus Christ, I guarantee it. It's like a mother who willingly has an abortion for no other reason, than she doesn't want the baby. Those women will never have peace again, until they can work out forgiveness from the Lord, for they killed a life, and a helpless life at that. Because, after leaving and recanting the Lord's testimony, .. and make no mistake, that's what it was, she continued down that path of doing her level best to harm the Church of the lamb. And she isn't the only one to do that! It seems, that those Satan convinces, many to recant of all that they knew to be right, and they then feel an obligation to do as much damage as possible to the Church Of Jesus Christ. Which is exactly in line with Satan's desires and persuasions. Satan does NOT want man to even believe in a God! And if he can get that lie accepted, then he comes back with, well as there is no God, then it follows, that there is no Satan, and so .. party on dudes, for tomorrow you die anyway and that's the end thereof. Those who accepts these lies, are cheated out of the riches of the eternities, that could have been theirs. Satan and his angels, want to destroy this earth and all upon it, that's his goal. pinky pink; Too true, that Satan can deceive so well, and the one sure way to fight that, is to do as Peter did in St. Matt. 16:13-20. Here is Peter, in a man's presence who is claiming to be the Savior and and king of the world. A man full of goodness and healings and casting out of devils, and preaching a gospel of peace, walking on water and other miraculous things. Still, what did Peter do?? Why he asked our Heavenly Father, concerning this Jesus Christ. Was he really the promised Savior of the world. And we know the answer Peter received, don't we? And also the Lord knew to, at the time, and did Jesus chastise Peter?? No! Not on your life, and emphasized an important lesson. Those who desire to build upon the 'rock', which is revelation from the heavens, must do as Peter did. Peter, a humble man, asked in faith, and expected an answer. Those who will not follow the example of Peter, will fall, because they built their house of knowledge and expectations on sand, which is their beliefs and Not revelations from the Heavens. All those, who will not do as Peter did, are in danger of being in the power of Satan and his angels. Other scripture must be taken into account also, and one important one is in Amos 3:7. Here is scripture telling us, that when the Lord talks to the world and man, and His Church, that it's always going to be through a prophet. And we saw how Jesus Christ set his church up, when He was upon the earth. And, since we are informed that God, Jesus Christ, is the same yesterday, and today, and forever, then that same church organization will be His church today. Thus, there will have to be, prophets and apostles in it, claiming authority to act in God's name. And we have the right to confirm that, or not, by doing as Peter did in St. Matt. 16:13-20. A sign of a prophet in the Lord;s church, would be fresh works being manifested to man, thus the Book OF Mormon, a keystone of the Church of Jesus Christ. For the Church literally is supported by the Lord, when answering those prayers about the Book of Mormon, whether it is true or not. When there is an authorized prophet on the earth, there is words also coming forth from God through that authorized prophet. Where there is no prophet on the earth, there is no fresh word of God for people of their time for the directions they exclusively need. You will find, that there is nothing of the present day church or prophet that contradicts scripture, unless the biblical scriptures have NOT been translated correctly. And that has happened with the many translations of the bible over time. Mistakes creep in, and only a seer with a Urim and Thummum, can properly detect those errors. And as you would expect, that to has been done. Nevertheless, I'm quite comfortable with using the King James version of the bible, it having the most accurate accounts. SciPro

What Sandra missed, is that religion is a thing of the heart, not of the mind. Spiritual journeys often have to be taken alone. Religion often puts guard rails up to discourage them. Mormon women teach that God loves them. That is a good teaching. Mormon charity is a good teaching. God bless her.

Wow, what a sad case, for Sandra Tanner has spent 42 years trying to justify her actions and disbelief's of God's prophets and Apostles, especially called forth these days. For Amos 3:7 of the old testament, plainly tells us, that God always speaks through prophets. Sandra, has very plainly worked against that all her years of apostasy! You have proclaimed the Catholic and the Protestants, and the Restored church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints to be all nonsense and Antichrist, but are not really stating what you believe in. Now, then don't you lie either! The LDS people are Christians, because we preach of Christ, we Worship Christ, we look to Christ for our salvation, and we seek to be like Christ according to his commandments. There seems to be a lot more you don't know, that you do. Whatever you know seems twisted and full of lies. Satan, who is the sworn enemy to Christ's church, makes sure there are lies and controversy of Christ's church, and that has always been the case. So 'if' you want to know just where Christ's church is, just look for a constant swirl of controversy and bad mouthing. As for quoting anything out of church history, you want to be careful that it's not out of context, or edited to show a twist or lie when non such was intended. SciPro

Thanks for you response. A prophet's calling is to the whole world, as I understand it. Where that prophet of the day is called from, will make no difference! The Lord will decide, and has decided where individual prophets are called from among all the nations of the earth. He chooses, not man. Generally, he chooses prophets from amongst a people who are friendly to the gospel plan of Jesus Christ, and that has been amongst those tribes of Israel, and that has been mostly Jews, or the tribe of Judah. Joseph Smith's genealogy is from the Ephraim tribe of Israel, so he is from one of the tribes of Israel, not that it would make any difference to our judgement, since it is the Lord and the Lord's church, he will therefore decide who is a prophet and who is not. Amos 3:7 does not discriminate as to where that prophet will be called from. SciPro

A really good question! You're thinking. Well, as I understand it, yes a prophet is called to the whole world, and only one prophet at a time is called to speak for the Lord, true. Those prophets may be at present located in Utah, but they have literally come from all parts of this world. It is NOT beyond the Lord's capability to prepare a prophet and if necessary, have him move to a central location of the church, where he could fill a calling that will come upon him. Okay, that's the general rule, nevertheless, in the battle of Israel against numerous Arab armies that are prophesied to attack them in the future war, there is to be two or three prophets standing there and defending the land. Still, although they are prophets, they will not have the authority to speak for the Lord to the world population at large. Now, I could stand correction here, but this is the way I understand it. Thus, only one prophet at a time is called to speak for the Lord, while that man lives upon the earth. I don't think anyone can get any other meaning out of Amos 3:7 of the old testament. SciPro

Hmmm, interesting. So you have done the genealogy search on Joseph Smith's line, have you?? Okay, I also assumed that Joseph is of Ephraim descent like I am. Because of the Lord's words in general, that it would fall on the tribe of Ephraim to bring the new covenant to the world, or the old and same covenant to the world that was lost through apostasy. Okay, I will stand corrected, if your internet search of Joseph Smith's genealogy reveals his ancestry comes from some other line. Nevertheless, anyone who accepts the gospel and is baptized into the church of Jesus Christ, is automatically adopted into the Ephraim tribe. That's the present law given. So your question is interesting, because of that present law of the Lord, so did Joseph become adopted in, or was he already a pure blood Ephraimite? For me, it doesn't matter, it ends up being the same in any case. SciPro
