Can also say, the Menards lye product also removes paint from drains. I poured some straight from the can down the sink where it hardened and made a clog in a sink that had some drainage. Stopped hard and had to let it resolve itself. May have affected sink's surface too. Lesson learned... mix into water before pouring into drain! Project Farm tested lye as a drain unclogger, and it doesn't affect PVC or do anything to metal or rust. So that's good, quite safe to use in that way.

The people knew that you were coming. They should have been considerate enough to empty under the sink before you arrived.
@EWB6611 күн бұрын
I've been down this road before The fine dirt and sand you are seeing is from someone using that sink to water a plant. The dirt comes out of the bottom of the plant container when you water the plant. The correct way to water a plant is to put a little tray under the container and put the water in the tray. The plant will suck up the water. If you water from the top down, the silt goes down the drain.

Lol they never do! But u know what the real question is why do I keep forgetting to ask them to clear it out for me on the phone before I go !!

That sink was a sand strap 😳. Still no rubber covers for the overflows yet I see. I just picked up 20 at the dollar store the other day thinking of you 3 for a dollar 😆. Have you seen thoes sink bee hive plugers online they get some force when put them over the stopper.

@@MattHmm-rq6dn gloves work just as good lol 🤣 I've always had bad luck with the beehive plunger. Is it any good?
@MattHmm-rq6dn11 күн бұрын
Yea the korky behive mini and max have been my go to. You can extended the bulb of the mini out put it around the drain stopper it has thrust! On bad sink clogs it does way better for me than the yellow sink plunger 🪠. There 11 bucks at hd 18 for the behive max. The only thing that sucks is you have to take some effort to clean it on the inside. You play with your wet rag or glove 😆 🤣.

So what was the sand issue? Usually where there’s sand there’s a broken pipe or roots working their way into the sewer, any idea? You ended the video like a mystery with no end😂. Another unsolved clog

@ cast iron pipe cavitation makes the the iron very soft and pitted which can lead to debris entering it from outside but we depend on your expertise why all the sand ?
