Sandy Daza discovers Ilocos Norte's Dudol, Dinuguang Pancit and Empanada Salad | FoodPrints

Sandy spends the morning in Paoay, gets to know more about the architecture of Paoay church and takes part in making Dudol, a recipe that goes all the way back from before the Spanish conquest. Batac is next for delicious empanada at Glomy’s Empanada. Glomy is the daughter of Glory Cocson, widely recognized for popularizing empanada in Ilocos Norte. La Moda Panciteria is also in the itinerary and Sandy samples the famous miki from Laoag’s oldest panciteria. Dinner is at Eagle’s Nest and the Dinuguang Pancit gets a two thumbs up!

OMG I missed ilocos norte empanada😭😭nakakain din kmi jan pero mas nasarapan ako yung dun sa balwarte,masarap nman lahat,nasubukan nmin sa vigan..i guess lalong sumarap dhil sa suka din nila,may isa pa kming kinainan na famous din sa knila na ulam kalimutan ko lng ang name😁

Iba naman ang kulay ng Dudol sa amin sa Caoayan Ilocos Sur grey at napakasarap! Ang original empanada is in Plaza Burgos in Vigan and ukoy. Iba rin ang aming Vigan longganisa nagimasen mangantayon!!!😋👍👏

Nakilala ang aming province dahil sa mga Marcoses..ang ilocos norte kung tutuusin ay isang mahirap na probincya dahil sa kanyang geography mas maraming bundok kaysa patag na lupa na pedeng taniman unlike sa ibang lugar..kaya importante sa mga ilokano ang makapagaral para gumanda ang buhay..

i lived in europe for 30 years..nagtataka ako sa mga michelin stars restos parang non sense sila sa sarap ng mga pagkain sa pilipinas..wala sinabi ang mga italians and french foods germans..baka spanish para compare sa filipino foods sa lakas ng lasa..
