The only saving grace was it must have been fast. I wish she had gone to a shelter and gotten a second chance, all she really needed was understanding and love, most “vicious” dogs were abused and are just defending themselves.

@@charlottesmom every dog deserves a second chance. They might need a special home to rehabilitate them. But when it’s a puppy, there’s no excuse to just put it out of your own misery. That dog deserved so much better.

I’d have adopted this sweet gal, she didn’t deserve what that witch did to her!! Luckily she’s getting judged in the public’s eye and it’s brought to light the plight of some doggos, and how horrid some “owners” are. You did a great job with this tribute to that sweet little one. ❤

Beautiful. beautiful dog, Sandy! Sad, sad story. A lot of people give up to quickly on things. I have a tulip bulb in a planter that grows leaves every spring but never flowers. I have a friend who would have dug it up the first year and tossed it in the trash. I just left it alone and waited. This year, after nearly ten years of waiting, it bloomed! A bright, sunny yellow tulip to remind me that sunny dayswill eventually return, I named the tulip Leo the Late Bloomer. ☺ Moral: Never give up!

It was so interesting watching how you move from stage to stage and build the layers. I know I’ve seen it so many times, but that negative drawing is so cool. Still makes my brain hurt, but so cool. Ohmigosh. Cricket’s story breaks my heart. 😢

Lovely drawing & memorial. I would have preferred not to know of her demise. It made me too sad to focus on your instructions. I'm pretty sure those who are going to dispose of an animal like this are not going to change their mind nor their practice, so it seems unnecessary in an art. If you feel the need to advocate, perhaps in another forum? Please/ thanks.

I would prefer not to have known of her demise as well. But it’s all over the news so it’s not possible. I’m just hoping more people hear about a tragic loss like this and decide to adopt a dog.
