It's selective data to fool low IQ people, Talked about manufacturing but not showing manufacturing percentage of GDP. Talked about PLFS data, but adjusted for inflation their is no increase in income of labor. Talking about LFPR, but not talking that most of the labor gain has gone in agriculture as farm labour. Typical lutians delhi sitting in AC room.

Thank you for the brilliant presentation. Since the government/taxpayer covers a large percentage of healthcare costs, it should cover family-based healthcare at the same level as the service industry. wow, such an enlightening talk. Lot of take home points. We must start encouraging people to have three kids in South and states with less than 2.1 population growth. Even if we start asking for more kids ,it wont happen in next couple of decades. So to prevent adverse dependency ratio we need to start working now ,although it may look bizzare idea as we have been drilled about 'over population' since our school days. Must change lessons in our text books about excessive population.

The section on population growth is vv critical.... fertility is dropping rapidly all across the world and now also in India. We have to devise ways as a society to tackle this problem....I believe tradition and our roots may be part of the solution to emphasize the need to give birth to the next gen. It needs to be stressed among our deracinated youth(which includes me as well) which has a faulty notion of 'high population of India' and thereby do not feel the need to have children or just have one child.

Impressive presentation and heart warming. However, in spite of wide spread indications that we are moving in the right direction, doubts remain because their several indicators in opposite direction as well. This is because it’s widely believed that the data is fudged; an example is the inflation rate, government data show one number but households/I experience an entirely different number in the streets. NSSO may be doing a great job but people don’t believe its data. Put it out of government may be they will. 7+% gdp growth government and RBI say, but consumption and corporate profits over past several months don’t reflect it. You are influential enough with this government to create an independent data collection and analysis agency that is managed by a group of independent individuals including capable academics like yourself. I have hope on future of India and people like you and the Prime Minister. Another point on the video presentation, camera is focused on the speaker most of the time, which is fine for the audience in the room but not people watching the video on KZbin who have hardly any time to absorb the graphical or other data presented on the screen. May I recommend that the camera is on screen most of the time and lesser on the face of the speaker. For your consideration for future presentations.

We can't compare Bharat with any other nations. Bharat woman has more gold than govt . So unless we have own formula for economics we always get same shortcomings.. House works aren't included in service in Bharat because it's not paid. Most importantly Bharat culture always preferred shri Ram in jungle than Ravan living in golden palace.. Thousand years of invasion and colonial era wasn't for making Bharat wealthy and prosperity for Bharat... All for looting only . It continued even after independence as corruption and adulteration... So unless we endorse Bharat as Hindu nation officially we can't expect nationalism and prosperity for Bharat no one cleans others houses..

But manufacturing as a % of GDP has declined jn the last 10 years. Also, decline of manufacturing or outgoing manufacturing from China hasn’t led to a proportionate increase in India; Vietnam, Bangladesh and Mexico have eaten into that pie. So re-imagining manufacturing since 2014 hasn’t really translated into results ! And if the core thing which we lack is tech then why aren’t we investing more in R&D ?

I wish Madam traveled in the metropolitan cities of our country and see for herself the number of homeless people and people begging. Thats the reality ! Comparison with China will be apple to apple, since we were almost similarly economically a few decades back and, population wise we are similar. Some data presented seem to be utopian, eg the % of income spent on food going down? Check the food inflation vis a vis growth in income. Gold plating stats or not showing critical stats doesn’t solve any problem. Otherwise insightful presentation. Thanks

Have you have checked the hunger rate in our nation. Even they didn't get the sufficient malnutrition for the growth of the children. Have you ever thought about the medical facilities. I don't think so you know about the rural condition of our nation. You know what we have a lots of population but resources are very less. It provides 5L per person free health care for poor. Yes we r lacking behind but look at where we have come from. India's digital revolution is a masterpiece.
