Is it possible to make the radio better, e. g. better shielding the internals or calibrate? There is a service manual available.

What's the frequency range of the marine air band?

SSB. Maritime net 14.300 Yl system is running daylight USA hours 14.332 Above 20m is CHU Canada time 14.670 and Canadian military weather from Trenton on 15.034 usb

I like the scan. If you are doing MW, why not compare a radio with the Radiwow R-108.
