‘Sangh has supported all reservations since the beginning,’ says RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat

Speaking in Hyderabad, Telangana, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said that the Sangh has been supporting reservations as per the Constitution since the beginning. He added that the RSS is not against reservations and dispelled rumours arising out of a video which said that the organisation is against reservations.

Agree. There is a very strong line of thinking among upper castes saying reservation should be removed, mostly when they see that a reserved category person is enjoying almost the same kind of facilities that an upper caste person is enjoying. However they fail to understand that it's not just the economic upliftment sought bybreservation, but it's the social and emotional upliftment that is more important. This is a very nuanced point that most upper caste people either don't grasp or conveniently act ignorant.

no, as a student i see those with lower caste having enough money get seat in 10%ile lower marks than me... it makes me furious, i dont know about castes and all, my family never taught me, my society, community, nor my Nationalist ideology made me believe in caste system, but when this thing happens with me like someone gets it which he never deserved, i should have it makes me furious

@@talluris.prabhakar2782 reservations are not only about jobs they are about representation and overall upliftment. Rss has always changed its stance on reservations. Firstly they opposed sc st reservations, then during mandal they opposed obc reservation and ended up supporting sc st reservations and now when OBCs are demanding to expand their quota they are trying to dilute their demand by such statements
