Sanguophages - Bloodbenders?! | Top Tips | Rimworld Biology

In this video, I'll help you understand the strengths and weaknesses of Sanguophages - By far the most complicated Xenotype from Rimworld's Biotech DLC.

Tips? If you got a catatonic pawn, administer them 1 beer, 1 psychoid tea, 1 smoke blunt leaf, and chocolate. This will help the pawn wake up in 1 or 2 days instead of the full week. Since you're boosting their mood. For teetoler pawns though...just administer chocolate and put them next to a TV. Also, Greatbows have the same stats as hunting rifles. Never underestimate bows.

Greatbows GO CRAZY when they hit. I get a bit antsy if I see a tribal who's good at shooting with one. They'll take out organs and cripple limbs or worse.

Coagulate is the best ability in the game imo. Having a line of dudes all with coagulate firing at the enemy makes it so I never lose a pawn in a raid unless the enemy gets an instant kill shit

Just a few things, minor corrections. Deathrest itself does not require a desthrest casket, it can be ordered even on a sleeping spot, and done anywhere. The benefits of deathrest come from the deathrest capacity buildings that link to a Sanguophage and their casket, up to 6. It always takes a base duration of 4 days, no matter how full or empty their deathrest need is. Advice to this point: don’t sanguophage children you’re raising, as they will not gain growth tier progress while deathresting, just like if they were comatose. The Long Jump ability is functionally identical to a Jump Pack with the distance allowed coming right between that of an Awful and Poor quality version, although it can be rechaged with hemogen instead of chemfuel. Coagulate applies a Tend to all wounds on a pawn, and is an absolute lifesaver when multiple pawns are downed in an attack and need tending before they bleed out. Bloodfeed also still applies a negative social impact that stacks, even if that pawn has the blood feeder meme. Had a sanguophage end up getting divorced in one run because she fed on her husband too often. Extracting a hemogen pack doesn’t cause this, however on a prisoner, it will cause negative relations with the faction the prisoner is a member of, so bloodfeed on them instead extracting hemogen packs to maintain relations, if you care about such things.

I can't believe you did not mention the deathrest facilities combined with the deatrest capacity serum allowing them to use more facilities, and the buffs continuously stacking. I managed to get 4 serums and had my Sanguophage consume it, allowing me to hook her up to 5 Glucocid pump increasing her speed. She moves faster and can dodge better because of this. You can also boost Psycast almost infinitely with the serum. Basically Sanguophage is the only race that can theoretically scale infinitely. I say that because the game has a limit on how fast a character can actually move. But it gets insane when you manage this. Caravan trips are a flash with a pawn that moves this fast. Also another tip being that you should research bionic limbs and the biosculptor regeneration pod function fast in the early game. My head chef once got into a social fight with my Sanguophage, and she tore her leg off with just ger bare hands. Normal Social foghts only leave a few bruises, it becomes dismemberment with a Sanguophage. Also another tip, if you manage to get your hands on a Sanguophage prisoner. You can harvest all their organs and still have them live. You can then stop feeding them because they get into critical deathrest. This is great because you can catch another slave and turn them into a Sanguophage, then either harvest all their organs or just sell them as a slave. It becomes a ridiculous silver farm without requiring food or any other maintenance because deathrest and deathless are so broken together!

He didn't mention them stacking infinitely because they don't. In vanilla, you can use a maximum of 4 glucosoid pumps at a time, even if you have more capacity. The 5th one isn't doing anything. Similarly, psychofluid pumps also cap at 4. They're still excellent buffs, dgmw, but they're not infinitem

Also caravans haven't been affected by a pawn's move speed since 1.3, which released before biotech

Hi nay. There are a lot of mods now that give more gene xeno types. Can you do a video on those, too? I believe there are genes that make pawns into robots. Can you do that for me. 😀
