Sanicole Airshow 2024 | Airshow Dispatches S07E08

Highlights from the Sanicole Airshow 2024 in Belgium, including stunning sunset performances with flares and pyrotechnics.
The 50th anniversary of the F-16 was the main theme of the show; we'll see F-16 solo displays from the USAF Viper Demo Team, SoloTurk and the Danish Air Force, as well as a heritage flight, multinational flypast and formation display by the ThunderTigers.
Other highlights include the Patrouille Suisse, French Rafale Solo Display, British Typhoon, Finnish Hornet and BBMF Lancaster, plus a firework finale by Team Aerosparx. Sanicole may also have hosted the last ever display by the Red Devils.

I should have known better, when I heard you commentating during the Pitts display I thought I recognised your voice but thought it'd be too unlikely for you to make a visit to Sanicole as well

Good Video. But there is a mistake. The GAF Eurofighter isn't from Neuburg. BamBam is Pilot of the Tactical Air Wing 31 "Boelcke" from Nörvenich. Not Tactical Air Wing 74 "Bavarian Tigers". Since this year, here in Germany we have 2 Display Pilots. Noble from TaktLwG 74 and BamBam from TaktLwG 31

I saw some things from Bournemouth in the closing . Why not do a episode on it?

Quite simply because that's not a proposition I can find any enthusiasm for. However, I did find myself in Bournemouth during the Air Festival and filmed a couple of the displays, which will be featured in the forthcoming 'odds and ends' episode that you saw a teaser for.

Yes, and I have done that - you'll find videos of the four displays that I did film already published on this channel. It's quite unlikely that I film a future Bournemouth Air Festival, I'm afraid. After a summer of watching MiG-21s tear around in Croatia, Flankers doing Cobras in Malaysia and Skyraiders doing barrel rolls 20ft off the ground in France, the idea of then watching a Spitfire doing some very distant, backlit barrel rolls at 500ft, several miles off the coast of Bournemouth, doesn't really get the adrenaline pumping.
