Thank you so much for making this video. I have the exact same issue and this helps immensely to see how the unit comes apart and how it functions. I was expecting to find a float inside and when I found none, I was at a loss; the micro switch was the problem. BTW, I didn't mind the foul language, that's how real people that do real work speak.

Tip: for anyone who has a macerator (It will stop or block or try to overflow as it gets older or a guest puts the wrong thing down it) or anyone who works with them, i recommend getting a wet hoover looks like a henry hoover and has a foam filter for removing all the liquid etc in the toilet and macerator and emptying down a normal toilet. Saved us a lot of mess over the years.

Good video showing how the microswitch works. Others, keep in mind that if it keeps running, but the toilet doesn't empty the pump may have lost the pressure/force required to pump the full distance upward. In my case, mine wouldn't run and found a toilet seat bumper jammed in the macerator blades. Then when installing the top, which mine has a rubber boot that fits over the pump exit pipe, I didn't pay attention to ensuring the rubber was perfectly fitted. This caused a kink that poured waste right back into the pump box. This obviously caused the pump to keep running since there wasn't enough pressure to force any waste out and waste was going right back in. In a lot of videos, I see newer pumps don't have a rubber exit boot. I'm glad I'm not a plumber. 🤣

might be the float in the bottom right of the tank when you face it from the front. I had a piece of debris which was sticking that flap from closing

Somehow we lost one of the three rubber feet that hold the pump in place (likely lost in a previous cleaning). Anyways, the pump eventually tilted onto the pressure switch side and it cut in and wouldn't stop. Took us awhile to notice that it was missing. Didn't find out situation anywhere else on the internet, so hoping this might help someone else......

This is exactly what happened to me. Lost the 3rd rubber pump foot and it was tilting and the rubber membrane was warped in the middle bulging out. I ordered a new membrane and new rubber stoppers. I hope this does the trick.

I have one that doesn't want to shut off quite often. Usually a tap will do it. I know its related to the micro switch. I'm debating between a brand new sani access 3 setup and attempting a repair. I have considered that maybe stuff is accumulating under the diaphragm. It's not a fun job, but they do work so well that it's worth doing. If I spend $1300 I will have the peace of mind of a brand new unit plus easy access for when maintenance is required, but that's verses an unpleasant effort may pay off long term without the expense....The pump unit is only $830, but the saniplus toilet is hard to keep clean and the toilet design for the sani access system looks like an improvement.

The san access 3 pump is only $830. I don't have to replace the toilet to switch.

Whether it's brand new or 3 years old like mine the bottom line is if something gets into their you could have the same issue. Well it might not be the most Pleasant job it definitely was not difficult .

Thanks for the video,made my life easier.My problem was a little different . The rubber oval boot at the bottom (part # 15 in the manual ,called the"membrane" on the Sani-Plus, got a little convex(looking from above) even though it felt totally pliable and soft,it still pushed up on the rod which pushed up on the micro switch. I'm calling SFA tomorrow and ordering the part. I could fix it by not pushing the membrane all the way down and filling the remaining space with an O-ring........Nahhh
@hazelrigby2520
@hazelrigby2520 3 жыл бұрын
If the switch isn't working and its clear behind it can just be degraded especially if you use toilet cleaning chemicals it degrades the rubber so it doesn't switch when it should. You can just replace the rubber bit, much cheaper than a new unit, and much less work if you don't have to un-plumb the whole thing.

Using the example of sololift2 D-2, I will tell you how to solve problems for a long time. The device has no electronics, the pump is controlled directly by a mechanical switch in the filling sensor, which burns out after 2 years. There is a rubber membrane on the filling sensor, which turns brown over time and stops reacting, it needs to be changed, if it breaks, it will pour through the air duct (a small hole) and the entire pump and possibly a little on the floor, the engine will burn (costs a lot). The air valve becomes dirty and water is poured through it onto the floor. I made the sololift work normally for years without disassembly and cleaning just like that - 1.Close the air valve completely with 3M adhesive tape in 2-3 layers (water will begin to flow in and out of the inlet corrugation by gravity). 2. Turn off the filling sensor and close its air duct (small hole) with acid silicone. 3.Install a configurable capacitive sensor outside the housing to the left of the water tank, for the presence of water, autonics CM30-3015NC (for a 3M double-sided thermal scotch); time relay XY-J02 (JZ-801), OMRON G3MB-202P solid-state relay for shunting the mechanical relay on the time relay board and a 12V power supply and a smoothing capacitor for a 2000 mf psu. The sensor must give a command to turn on the time relay (via a 50mf capacitor, a resistor parallel to the capacitor), which must be configured to turn on once for 3 seconds. The power actuating contacts should go to the wires in the pump that used to fit the filling sensor. Plus, I held a separate switch for manually starting the relay with my time relay and + OMRON. And it is also necessary to conduct a wire for a switch that will turn off the time relay for a short time, turning off the cycle. Setting up the relay - 3s work, 6s simple, number of inclusions 900 times. This will work for a long time and without maintenance with disassembly because there is almost nothing left in the system that can collapse from alkalis or acids, or through which a pump or floor can be filled, the filling sensor does not contact with water, only the engine and the water check valve remain of the vulnerable mechanisms. Once every 3 months, fill the tank with water with detergent for washing and wait 6-24 hours and drain, you can more often (alkaline powder, you can use acid detergent). After closing the air valve, the capacity of the sololift, as well as the outlet pipe, will become pressure. Perhaps, for this reason, may be nothing will accumulate on its walls, just as it does not accumulate on the walls of the outlet pipe due to pressure and cavitation. The instruction was written by Vache Babajanyan
