This discussion about Sanji was not fair at all. He was threatened with Zeff’s and his friends at the Baratie’s lives and Reiju put (fake) bombs on his arms that would blow him up if Sanji tried to escape. Luffy had no ability to save Zeff if Big Mom really did something. Also, Sanji could not feed everyone on Wano (which is a stretch expectation) because they were undercover from Kaido’s people and sticking to their plan, and that’s why he wore the raid suit at one point to hide his appearance. Sanji is arguably the best written Strawhat, that tiktok dude is probably a meathead Zoro fan saying all that BULLSHIT 😂

Sanji should never even be in the conversation for worse. He's saved the crews life more than any one else, when any of the devil fruit users are downing he's the first to dive in the water and save them, people seem to forget that during the "nothing happened" moment sanji got up too and offered his life just like zoro did but zoro knocked him out cause he was trying to protect him too. Sanji also shows immense faith in Luffy he legit seems to think it's impossible for Luffy to lose a fight as seen when he fought Katakuri and Kaido and sanji had no doubt in his mind Luffy would handle it. If you cant understand why he did what he did at whole cake i question your literacy levels, cause there is no way you read or watch one piece and see that as a betrayal, especially when Robin did the exact same thing and no one uses that against her cause we all understand why she did it, but when It's comes to Sanji we all just forget how to read apparently. The sanji disrespect. Whole Cake Island, he was blackmailed after saving the crew. (Which he had constantly done on his own) Black Mariah was character development for him and robin. In wano, he was undercover and couldn't feed others. Remember wci.... he saved the crew to tell his family to back off and go back to his crew. They then put bombs on his hands and threatened zeff. He was extremely handicapped and luffy knew that.

I really think the hate just comes from Oda not allowing his development to truly shine. I don’t mind Usopp being a coward, I often find it amusing, doesn’t mean it never gets old, because _god_ it does. While it makes sense for a character like Usopp(who is normal compared to his stronger crewmates)to be terrified of the insanity that the Strawhats always get up to, you’d think that he would show more faith in his crew’s abilities. Many Usopp haters understand that Usopp’s fear is warranted, but to see him react the same way to everything after so long, not showing even a shred of confidence, is just baffling. I can see how his constant attempts at dragging Luffy away from an inevitable fight, or trying to avoid islands they’ll end up on anyway, and crying and complaining could grow tiresome.

Usopp and Sanji are both honestly the most human of the bunch given how flawed they are. Its definitely relatablity. Alot of their themes center around self acceptance and identity. Sanji got his, Usopp hasnt gotten it fully yet. Im sure there will be some addressing in Elbaf, but he has to start from the bottom to rise. Being a brave Warrior of the sea is a subjective thing and not as tangible as the other straw hats. Hes proven himself time and time again, but HE HIMSELF has to see it

And that is before he got the strongest keyblade in existence, which gives the ability to wipe all of the disney and KH worlds in the game. Each "disney world" is described as being its own dimension with its own stars and galaxies, and Sora's ability affected all of them. If you pair that with the ƴ-blade(the strongest keyblade in existence), it makes sense to scale him over Kirby and Kratos.

Slandering Sanji for his decision to go to Totto land is insane. The way the whole crew would've been fucked at Zou if both Big Mom and Germa 66 attacked them just because Sanji stayed on the island and refused to cooperate. Zou was already ruined and the smartest thing to do was to leave, that;s why Sanji left. He doesn't want the blood of the minks on his hands as well as his remaining crewmates. Luffy took 11 hours to barely win against Katakuri. He wouldn't win against Big Mom coz he hasn't learned Ryou. The strawhats are not surviving that encounter. At Whole Cake, Sanji won't be able to just say, "Sure Luffy, let's go home!" coz his dad is threatened, his hands are strapped with bombs, and THEY"RE IN ENEMY TERRITORY. He's already suffering from PTSD just being surrounded by his abusers, he's got a huge mental disadvantage. (Kinda like how Law performed poorly against Doffy coz he's still affected by his taunts) And Zoro would never attack Sanji coz he KNOWS THE COOK. He knows how sacrificial that idiot is coz he is too. Hell, that's been established in Thriller Bark. Zoro knows more than anyone in the crew that the Cook would RATHER DIE than put Luffy or the crew in harms way. He'd be disappointed, sure. He'd never hate Sanji coz he knows beating up their captain to a pulp hurts the Cook more than whatever kind of beating Zoro would give to him.

Usopp didn't go hard against Luffy simply because he felt comfortable with Luffy. He went all out because he PLANNED for the battle. I'm glad you brought up Usopp's role in the crew. I think a lot of people took Oda's statement of "Usopp being the weakest member" wrongly. Just because he will always be the weakest within the crew doesn't mean he can't be strong in his own right. Especially, as you've mentioned, he's the only one of the two crew member whose role is literally about combat. That is why I really love his moment in Dresrossa along with Zoro. Both showed incredible feats according to their role; the swordsman cutting what essentially a mountain, and the sniper shooting accurately across an entire city. It was amazing. We need more of those moments for Usopp especially now that the crew is on a different level. We can't have Luffy being the Pirate King and one of his crew member can't even beat a Tobi Roppo. Even with Elbaf being his arc, it shouldn't be an excuse for Usopp having a pathetic showing in Onigashima. That's the equivalent of concluding the Alabasta arc and Usopp never fought Mr. 4 and the Mole person. All the East Blue 4 had major power ups in Onigashima except him. Luffy learning ACoC and Awekning, Zoro struggling to master Enma and ACoC, Sanji's dilemma with accepting his Germa genes. Heck even Nami had her own drama with Zeus before she got her upgrade of Zeus infusing with her Climatact. Usopp got nothing.

Often times he's the voice of reason and realist, that can motivate and push others to become stronger, there is a literal species that looks up to Usopp. If it wasn't for Usopp Nami would never be able to defend herself in battle, if it wasn't for Usopp Robin wouldn't've been alive today. With all due to respect to the Zoro fans, yes Sanji has his flaws but nobody is freaking perfect, not even a one piece character. And if Zoro was there to witness the fight with him and Luffy, Zoro wouldn't have done NOTHING considering he knows his captain well and knows Luffy wouldn't want him to interfere. Are we forgetting he did the EXACT same thing when Usopp was fighting Luffy? Zoro quite literally watched the fight on the ship and never once interfered with their battle. I really dislike how people tend to forget these small details and immediately assume Zoro would just flat out jump in the fight and fight Sanji when he never did that when Usopp faced off against Luffy. Are we also forgetting the fact that if Luffy would lose to someone that's below him, Zoro would quite literally leave the crew since he stated he wouldn't work underneath a weak captain. If Luffy needed help to fight Sanji, I'm sure Zoro would've left the crew at that point cuz why would Luffy need help to fight someone that's quite below him in power (and a good margin of power as well)?

He genuinely didn’t know his own self worth, we were shown why that was the case in his backstory with how his family were treating him and him being raised thinking he was useless. Why would someone in that mindspace assume the Strawhats were going to come save him from WCI and sneak into a yonko territory just for him, he thought he was disposable. He knew how dangerous Big Mom was and thought he’d make his sacrifice, they’d forget about him and be safe and that’d be the end of it. Then with Zeff being in danger and all that, of course he’s going to push Luffy away in the only way he thinks he can.

As a Zoro fan, I think it‘s perfectly fine, if you don’t like Zoro because he’s one dimensional. For me, there is a lot of other stuff, I like his character for, but Sanji definitely has more depth to him. I don’t think it‘s about jealousy though, as in fact I think most Zoro fans like Sanji as well. Only annoying thing about him is his gimmick about women, but I genuinely think even Sanji fans don’t fw that. Other than that, he’s a great character.

Atleast Sanji, alongside Zoro, pulled up to save Otoko, and suppress Kiyoshiro's men, and Page One from destroying the shops and killing the magistrate, respectively, and still, that joke of a One Piece fan says that Sanji let everyone starve, while we have Usopp, who was ready to run and save his hide everytime someone in Wano needed the Strawhats to save them. Sanji and Zoro were always on business, and came in clutch everytime, in every arc, unlike some Strawhat members. It was because of Sanji that Robin was once again made relevant as a fighter in Wano, against Black Maria. Sanji still jad a reasonable reason for attacking Luffy, but Usopp was just having a superiority complex when he attacked Luffy. Sanji has a non-combatant role in the crew (a cook) but still is 1st commander level. Usopp has a combatant role, but he still is one of the weakest One Piece characters.

Yeah usopp got coo but nobody is teaching how to use and control it, it took luffy 18months to learn the basic of all 3 (if we divide it equally that’s 6 months each) and that’s with a teacher, he awaken his coo just a 2 months max ago and no teaching and you’re expecting him to spam it lol. I think you made a really good point on how Usopp is not doing his job as a crew member with a combative role. If he was a helmsman or shipwright or something like how he was the temporary shipwright in the beginning with the Mary before Franky, then his behavior and lack of skill in combat would be at least a bit more justified because a shipwright doesn’t really need to know how to fight. Theoretically the crew should be there to protect them and the other non-combative roles. However Usopp is literally the sniper of the crew yet his only feat is sniping Sugar and we’re almost at the end of the story… Sanji is one of the big 3 straw hats and some people argue about him being one of the strongest in the verse yet he’s a COOK. A non-combative role. Why is Usopp, the sniper, constantly relying on the cook of his crew to save him? Ideally it should be the other way around ☠️ I don’t see why Usopp can’t get at least a small buff? Or more feats?
