This also reveals another issue very clearly... The issue is often that people know their rights... The change that is needed to have officers acknowledge our rights... If they do not know the law while acting under color of it, the city and the department they work for is on the hook for failing to properly train and supervise them... This is often the reason they don't want to call a supervisor to the scene....

I had my 4th violated. The cop "on call" had an ego and his partner broke the law not knowing the facts but he was "backing up his partner when they broke down my door for ID Texas 38.02 (failure to ID)" I was inside my home and got my door kicked in and I went to jail for three days!!! 3 DAYS!!! Well congratulations you just submitted yourself to a lawsuit as well!! Qualified Immunity doesn't work when you violate rights!!😅

that is assuming that you have a non corrupt judge q.i. only gets taken away when the judge says so and there are many cases where judges refuse to do so even when there is ample evidence of the cops making civil rights violations and committing criminal acts the system protects itself. Terms such as "consensual contact", "detain", "arrest" have very specific legal meanings and describe very specific circumstances. Which include the rights and obligations of police and citizens. Getting police to state these terms can help in your immediate interaction or subsequent defense if a court appearance is required.
