I just got on a few weeks ago. It tuned easy. I replaced rest to drop away style. I am almost 42. I have not shot a bow sense I was a teenager. It works well and is very accurate other then my operator error. Can't beat it for the price.

Appreciate the input. I don't know jack squat about bows but I want my 12yr old son and I to learn together. I quickly found out the price of entry can get steep . As a result of your review I now have some confidence that I can get him into without immediately spending $600.

I bought this package for my girlfriend as her first time bow. if you do get one they are great for the price your paying. absolutely get a different release and throw a trophy ridge whisker biskit on it (25 bucks at walmart) the rest itself that comes with it is pretty bad. also get different arrows. the arrows that come with it you can shoot at a low poundage but they are really low end arrows. the sight on it works fine. I am actually passing down my bow to my girlfriend since shes shown genuine interest in the sport. I recently spent big money on my main set up so I wont use it any more. the sanlida were giving to my 13 year old son and im excited to see how it tunes for a youth. for the price though you really cant go wrong with it.

That slo-mo of your expression was priceless. You "stole the show" from the bow. I know, bowetic. I had archery in high school and really liked it. I was probably the best archer in the class even though I hadn't ever shot a bow before that class. I didn't keep up with it because I'm a competitive long-rifle & skeet shooter, but it's hard to do either in the suburbs of California. Neighbors can be persnickety. The "thwack" of an arrow on a target is much quieter than a .22 or 20 gauge, even when both are subsonic. Wish me lulululuck.

☝🏼 is correct. I have my Dragon X8 limbs maxed out, but since I only draw 28 inches, my draw weight is somewhere around 64-65 lbs. I'm fine with that as it'll still kill any whitetail deer on the face of the planet. I can also shot it all day long in the backyard as opposed to my Hoyt Carbon Defiant Turbo.

I have had two strings and a limb failure over the years. One string was brand new, US made. The accessories were tied in to tight and cut the bow string, causing the string to fail. I don't know why your string failed, but I wanted you to know that strings can fail, and it may not be because of the bow. My 2 cents, Happy Holidays.

Make sure you buy it from Amazon if you want the warranty. I made the mistake of buying mine on eBay from an Amazon reseller. When I tried to register it for the warranty even though it was brand new in the sealed box, Sanlida refused to register it for the warranty. So basically I'm on my own if anything goes wrong with this bow. I hope it's a quality product and I think it's ridiculous that they won't cover it just because I purchased it through a reseller. It literally shipped directly from Amazon. I ordered it from eBay and the eBay seller then ordered it from Amazon and had it shipped to me. Apparently that's not good enough for them to warranty the bow though which is really disappointing. With that being the case I have to assume that getting them to cover any sort of warranty is probably equally difficult. They seem to be more in the business of not covering their products as they are in helping their customers.
@JW-bw8nj3 ай бұрын
Even without the warranty issue, it doesn't make sense to pay more by buying it on eBay as opposed to ordering it directly from Sanlida on Amazon. Why pay a middleman extra money to do something you can easily do yourself?
@5jjt Жыл бұрын
Remember to buy American all you can.
@JW-bw8nj3 ай бұрын
When an American company stops being greedy and sells a comparable bow for the same price as the Dragon X8 then I will happily purchase one from them, but I'm not going to spend more than double the cost on an "American" bow just to make a random American CEO just a little richer. I'd rather that money stay in my bank account to provide for my family instead of theirs.

Hard to tell just from this one video. It would have been different if he was shooting various bows so we could hear the difference in loudness between them, but you can't tell how loud a bow really is if it's the only one being shot since you have no idea how close the mic is, how sensitive it is, the size of the room, the acoustics of the room, etc. Without knowing all those things, you're just stating an OPINION not a fact.
