Sanskrit - the language of the ancient Hindu scriptures - claims to be of divine origin. Its unequaled sophistication allows for the precise expression of subtle philosophical and spiritual truths found in its vast literature that spans more than 2500 years.
The wisdom of the rishis, the sages of ancient India, was expressed in the Vedic scriptures including the Upanishads, using the Sanskrit language. Unlike vernacular languages that are derived from others, Sanskrit is not derived, but is considered to be a divine revelation of the sages. The word, samskritam, literally means perfected, a perfect medium for expressing the non-dual teachings of Advaita Vedanta.
Swami Tadatmananda is a traditionally-trained teacher of Advaita Vedanta, meditation, and Sanskrit. For more information, please see: www.arshabodha...

Can i ask you a simple question? The term OM - a sacred sound considered by many ancient philosophical texts to be the sound of the universe, encompassing all other sounds within it. Where does sanskrit has the letter "O" or "OO"? It is called as Aum 🕉️right? As the world knows tamil is the oldest language on earth and only tamil has the letter O- ஒ and OO- ஓ in it. And only the language thamizh represent OM-ஓம், how can u claim that OM belongs to sanskrit? Ist it not cheap to steal and loot from the original sacred language Thamizh into sanskrit? PLEASE WAKE UP FRIEND A GET OUT OF THIS FAKE WORLD But, you know why britishers really propogated these theories without any proofs? That's because they thought that usually the natives (As they had seen in africa were black in colour) had black skin and when they visited the northern india they saw people with white(Not every northern indian has white skin including me) skin and without even considering the grographical location of india concluded that we invade India. Respect for your speech on the linguistic lifeline of India. Due to livelihood, Indians are now nearly 100% western educated, in fact, many can even think in English (of course there is nothing wrong at all as English is Lingua Franca) and thus are unknowingly vanishing their linguistic identity as well. In that context, such an analytical and precise speech can definitely boost the interest of Indians ( and Non-Indian as well) to learn this language of God and can explore the plethora of knowledge-dimensions of Vedas for the sake of humanity across the globe.

@B-Raja
@B-Raja 3 жыл бұрын
It's not the letters of Sanskrit, sir. These were the letters of Brahmi script. From Brahmi script, Devnagri or Nagari script was devised around 1000-1200 years ago, after the 8th century AD. The whole of Sanskrit books set is found only in Devnagari script. So it is highly doubtful and historically wrong statement to claim that Sanskrit books are very old !! Some more facts are needed to make that claim, but it can be thought of being present in primitive form during the Guptas period, ie. around 500 AD. In fact, the Ri, (ऋ) letter used to name Rigveda, Richa or Rishi is only 1200 years old. Then how it is possible that the Rigved was written in 1500 BC ?? Is there any proof ?? Do you know that the oldest specimen traced for Rigved is from 1464 AD !!! Does anyone have historical proofs of Vedas and other Sanskrit texts being written in the period prior to invention of Devnagari letters ?? Which script did Rishi Vedvyas used to pen down the Rigveda ??

@@B-Raja Let me tell you bro, the Sanskrit we use today is modern sanskrit which was made by Sage Panini, he is also sometimes called grandfather of linguistics. He was born somewhat around 7th century BC. It is well documented, I am not gonna spoonfeed you, you can research it yourself. Also the about the Rigveda, even if Rigveda was written by any sage, then it would have been destroyed till now because how old it is. And we do not say Rigveda was written in, we say Rigveda was composed in! Both have different meaning. It is generally said that initially, Rigveda knowledge was transfered orally to one another. Also, for your question that what's the evidence that Rigveda is old, is the use of river named Saraswati. It is used heavily in Rigveda, and it is said as mother of all river or angered river which creates floods and what not! Now until now, Saraswati river was claimed Mythical river, cause it is not present now, but a river bead is found in the Sapt Sindhu region, and you know what's shocking? Yamuna was one of its tributaries, which later of deflected due to tectonic disturbance, and became tributary of River Ganga. Now, it is claimed that this river was at its peak in 7000 BC and dried in around 6500 BC. How can sage who composed Rigveda knew that there was some river in the past which was very large?? So, you got the answer to your question bro?
@B-Raja
@B-Raja 2 жыл бұрын
@@ashish.nagpal One can say that Sanskrit is 10000 or 20000 years old, who is objecting ?? The point is what are the evidences to prove that ?? Sanskrit itself is not a noun and it's an adjective word, that means refined of cultured. There is no historical evidence of Sanskrit before 2nd century AD, and the specimen found of that time is also dubious to be called as Sanskrit. Sanskrit was formed from Pali and Prakrit languages of India in Buddhist universities of ancient India, but it's not older than the Gupta period. The Buddhist literature is older than the Rigveda, and other Hindu Sanskrit holy books. The Hindu Sanskrit text is only 1000-1200 years old because the devnagri script is not older than that. No Sanskrit literature is found in a script that was in vogue prior to invention of Devnagri. The talk of river Saraswati is a bullshit, nothing else. The Rig-Veda itself is a metered text, and metres in literature are not more than 1300 years older.

Sanskrit become famous not because of the language but because of this bird !!! kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4SlaGSgg9Zgr7Mstart=60&end=147 Sanskrit has developed words from other languages to make itself better. Sanskrit is an oral language it does not have an attested native script: from around the turn of the 1st-millennium CE, it has been written in various Brahmic scripts, and in the modern era most commonly in Devanagari. The Hathibada Ghosundi Inscriptions the oldest known Sanskrit inscriptions in the Brahmi script, and dated to the 100 BC(2100 years old). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hathibada_Ghosundi_Inscriptions Tamil Language : In 2019, excavations at the "Keezhadi" unearthed potsherds with graffiti, which were claimed to date back to 580 BC(2600 years old). The graffiti bore numerous similarities to known Harappan symbols and so could be a transitional script between Indus Valley script and the Tamil Brahmi script used during the Sangam Period. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keezhadi en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamil_inscriptions en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamil-Brahmi

On the other hand, Hittite is attested as early as 1700 BCE, and Mycenaean Greek as early as Vedic Sanskrit. Tamil doesn't even begin to compare in terms of the date of earliest attestation. BTW, do you know The oldest grammar form of Tamil itself has Sanskrit Name and first chairman of Sangam, Agastya too has a Sanskrit name? Believe it or not, Sanskrit is the only language much suitable for Speech Recognition and Artificial Intelligence in Computer field. The reason is very simple. It's alphabets (Mainly Devnagari Scripts) is phonetic scripts and you write what you speak. There is no need for pronunciation for words. Sanskrit is well known for its rigid, structured and highly developed grammar. It is almost like it can be represented by mathematical logic. The main reason why Sanskrit is good for Artificial Intelligence is that in any sentence in Sanskrit language, every words used contains hidden intelligence. For simple example - Aham Griham Gachhami ( I home go - I go home ). Aham represent not only "I" but also gives its activity as a subject. Griham "home" represent as object with something happening on and finally Gachhami "go" always means "I'''s activity or it is only associated with "I". The sentence does not need to interpolate but only gives the clear meaning also unique words associated with "I go home". This is the reason why Sanskrit is suitable for speech recognition and Artificial Intelligence in Computer field.

This is only due to the fact that Sanksrit is a liturgical language and happens to have a writing system well suited to its phonology. If Sanksrit were still widely spoken today, it would undergo pronunciation changes that would decrease the accuracy of Devanagari at conveying the sounds of this changed version of spoken sanskrit.

“No other language makes such a claim.” Actually many do: Runes, Ogham, and etc. The Japanese Shinto religion believes the Kotodama (sacred seed syllables) created the world. In Judaism the Hebrew Aleph-bet is considered sacred, and the source of creation. The work of Stan Tenan shows how the opening verse of Genesis forms a torus, which is compared to various forms in the rabbinical commentary. Interestingly, it also resembles Shiva’s drum. I believe all these faiths derive their sacred scripts from one underlying source that is beyond any particular culture or religion. ❤️

Samskrtam is The MAtrika itself, it is The Logos, The Memra, The Word of God Himself. ALL words in ALL languages are derived from Sanskrit. ALL Continents' names are in Sanskrit. Asia = AsYah Europe = Yuropah Africa = Aprika Australia = AstralYah America = Amaraka Even MOST countries' names are in Sanskrit. Argentina = Arjuntina Peru = Peru = golden mountain Bahamas = Brahamas Tasmania = TasmaiYah Mexico = Meshika This PROVES beyond ANY DOUBT that the whole world spoke Sanskrit in the beginning, when we have a world wide super advanced civilization in Vedic Truth.

The reason why Latin and Greek and all other indoeuropean languages have a weird alphabet is because it doesn't belong to their language. The Latin script (as is greek and cyrillic and arabic and other near east scripts) is originated in egyptian hieroglyphs. Devanagari on the other hand was created for sanskrit. Also, Sanskrit is derived from indoeuropean, or better said, it is indoeuropean. As the name sanskrit says, it's a purified version of indoeuropean. Indoeuropean was a language with many dialects and a complicated vowel systeme. Sometimes it wasn't clear if it's an a, o or e. To purify it, in sanskrit all shwa sounds became a, so instead of vicvos, in sanskrit it's viśvāh. Truth be told, sanskrit is not a central indoeuropean version, it belongs to the southern dialect and is therefor more related to slavic, baltic, illyrian and iranic. Germanic, celtic, italic, greek and armenian derived from the northern dialect. The difference is the k-s change. As we see in vicvos-viśvāh the c became a ś. In conclusion: It's right that sanskrit didn't derive from anything, it's just the only purified version of southern indoeuropean.

How is this different from what other religious followers claim as the source of their scriptures? If two religions claimed to have their scriptures inspired by the gods, how can we know which religions to trust?
@ausgepicht

The reason that linguists haven't found Sanskrit's ancestral tongue is because it was developed based on at least 5 dialects. An analog would be Esperanto, though Esperanto is comprised of languages and not dialects as Sanskrit is. It wasn't created by gods - it, like gods, has flaws (many of which the Buddha pointed out and why he was against people using it to spread his Dharma), rather it was scientifically created by ancient linguists. The started with a core, then used terms in other dialects to describe concepts that didn't exist in the core. English is an example of this process. When a concept doesn't exist in English, it adopts the word from a language that does - some of these words have been so assimilated that people would be surprised to find out that words they think are English, actually aren't at all.. Kindergarten, Deja vu, tomato, buffet, pajamas, veranda, macho, zombie, pizza, dollar, shampoo, et al. By doing this - just like English - it was able to have more ideas, concepts, etc. than other languages and the way it was constructed allowed people to construct new words to describe new things simply by following the rules of grammar. Because of this there are more spiritual, mental, psychological, religious ideas and concepts in Sanskrit than any other language, even English.

I only know a few hundred words of Sanskrit but it seems to me that its grammatical precision is offset by the fact that one word can have so many meanings! If I search a word in a Sanskrit dictionary, I see that it can have 20 different meanings, or more! How does that affect its precision? Any thoughts?...
