Definitely worth using headphones on this. They sound so good. There is something about their touch. It's delicate, elegant and solid at the same time. So musical and such dynamic range.

Bluecoats 2007. Stick flip into a ping. Find the lot video and laugh for 10 minutes. Sounds like a midi but better. Video is by Behundagut or something like that. Shot is somewhere after the 4:20 mark. Side shot of the snareline.

No matter how you feel about the perc scores, you have to admit that this was the most musical battery this year. They understand that music isn’t just playing a ton of notes on the page and adding in heights: there is so much you can do with shaping and interpreting time and even different articulations. All while hitting drums at the exact same time. Bravo. “Content” isn’t just how difficult the music on the page is

Not to mention that a musical battery is just HALF of what a true Sanford winner is. Their front ensemble was as top tier as they always are.

Always the most nuanced writing with Rennick, but dynamic contrast helps a lot.

I totally agree. They have a level of expression and a delicateness to their ensemble sound that you didn't see anywhere else.

Having said that, the music on the page, while not just RAM RAM, is also extremely difficult, and the execution is eye-opening. I couldn’t be happier these guys after missing a year. How can something like that even happen?!

Some of the best drummers you will meet. Clean as hell with a ridiculous book too. Monsters with a great touch. Dynamics and quad arounds are backkkkk baby!

Besides all of aforementioned things (clean, musical, balanced).. The QUANTITY of notes they are pushing out is something to note too.. but they achieved quantity and quality this year ❤

There's other lines that have tight snare lines. There's others that have tight bass lines. However, SCV always kills the competition with their tenor lines.

Does anyone know how the subdivide metronome compares to the Tonal Energy metronome? I am perhaps Tonal Energy's biggest fan, but it's not perfect, and I'm curious if subdivide is trying to be a genuine competitor in terms of functionality, or if the functionality got simplified along with the design.
@subdivide-app2 ай бұрын
Hello! Subdivide is meant to be a powerful metronome in terms of functionality, even behind the simple design. We recently released our first version, which includes a core set of features including programmable tracks. We're also actively working on bringing more features to Subdivide in a thoughtful way. The next things to launch will be count-off and repeat functionality within tracks. We'd love for you to give it a try and let us know any important features that might be missing for you. Always looking to get feedback from more people.

Subdivide app for android please.
@subdivide-app3 ай бұрын
Hey there! Subdivide actually started on Android in 2016. We took it off the Play Store because we've learned a lot after rebuilding everything for iOS and we didn't feel like it was up to our current standards. We're hoping to be able to bring an improved Android version back in the future.
