I am shocked a freeware that was made by a (now defunct) German company was remastered and it's on Steam. How is that possible, I have no idea. EDIT: Huh... Looks like they fixed the old game's timing bugs. The original had an issues where I'd you had a beefy system, the game would freak out, render the animations too fast and the physics would be borked to heck and back.

Merry Christmas Jadow. If I were there, I'd get you a fat model Playstation 2 with a softmodded memory card so that you could experience some of the great exclusives on the system by playing them off a hard drive. And also, you'd have a console that could play Bubsy 3D, like you always wanted :) And I'd get you the Sly Cooper games since you liked Sucker Punch's first game, Rocket: Robot on Wheels. And also because I think you'd be a big fan of the series for...one specific reason.

I honestly think a Christmas themed platforming game with Santa Claus as a playable character could work and concepts and ideas from the game sounds good on paper. But the execution was poor. Now this is a video game review worth looking at. I haven’t seen this game since MikeySpikey800’s.

I played this as a child on my shitty old PC What a fever dream. I have no Idea how I was able to play these awful games back then Even worse, I think it may have been just a demo or so, Included in one of those 50in1 game discs, and I replayed the first few levels over and over again

My PS4 controller has an issue where the camera often drifts (it's my fault, I used to throw the controller when I got angry) and throws off my aim... and that's STILL more functional than this games camera since I can still look up and down.

I played the original game and the sequel since early 2020's, they were so much better with nice 2000s graphics and had great christmas music. The only reason why it was get remastered because no one but some person had game to put steam version just for a quick buck for a christmas game. Unbelievable, the original game is better that HD version.

There actually is an attack function in bubsy but it's the worse designed attack function ever. In order to actually attack an enemy you have to stand still, hold the aim button, go into a first person mode to aim your atom shot at the enemy, all the while not being able to control your left and right movement in this state. They can still attack you while you're setting this up just by being in your way via touch damage. Oh and the stupid thing is, you only get ONE SHOT per atom and every time you want to do this, you have to stop and get into this slow animation every time. Because guess what THERE'S NO RAPID FIRE! So you have to be precise with every shot because if you run out of atoms to fire on the final boss, you just screwed yourself over because of the tank controls and now you have to start the level all over again and go through the nightmare that's the turret section just to get another shot. But wait there's more! In order to get the good ending you have to collect rocket parts. Spoilers: it's not worth the aggravation. Just use the cheat code to get all the rocket parts. But if you want to just see how this travesty ends. Watch Nitro Rad's video on it. He had the patience of a god to actually get through to every single level and even then it wasn't worth the stress.

Ah yes, crappy shovelware. The cornerstone of Win XP gaming. There are so many games I've made videos on when it comes to stuff like this and this looks like a bottom tier one. For every Shadowflair or FantaScape you get like 3-4 of these. Merry Christmas to you and thoese who celebrate it ❤

The saddest thing about this is how crap the remake is. I have fond memories of my childhood when I played 1 and 2 and even though the controls were sometimes rough it was still a fun game to play and honestly I'd play it again. But it's literally impossible. 1st game for some reason lags way too much and the 2nd game doesn't let you install it on newer OS. So you have to play the remake which literally has the worse santa control and camera control than the first 2 games.

15:12 The game (Bubsy) does have a function where you can shoot atoms, but the game never fucking tells you because screw you. (I accidently found it by pressing one of the shoulder buttons, discover it when I played it years ago, but you can only shoot left & right no free aiming) Back then in the day when I didn't believe in A bad video game.
