Welcome Back viewers. Over the past few weeks we have upgrading the Bronson with Cane Creek Components as well as a Box Prime 9 group set. SO its time for some suspension.
I have been fighting this feeling that my bike wasn’t feeling the way id like it to. I had trouble explaining to people that I wanted more feed back. I wanted to have the ability to throw all my power into the bike and it throw it right back at me. I wanted more low hit compliance but not having to be be half way through my travel already to get it. I Wanted something that was a set it and forget it style. something that wasn’t going to change because of my location. I want it to be a ready for what ever set up to match my style of riding. Cane Creek Components heard my needs and developed a progressive coil that fits the Bronson. Yes a progressive coil that fits on a Bronson. Lets get in there and check this thing out.
We are ready to rock and what better than Big Creek Park in Roswell Georgia. Lets see if we can catch up with my Buddy Ryan that runs the place.
This coil is an amazing fit for me. It feels like I can boost higher, preload later and haven’t bottomed it out even with huge flat landings. A huge shout out to Cane Creek for designing something that is going to help my progression in the sport. Don’t forget to hit that subscribe button to help the channel grow. Pedal a little harder and don’t touch the brakes.

Hi, How do you choose the correct progressive spring weight?. I normally use 400 lb x 65mm linear spring on my 230x65mm coil shock 28-30% sag on my cube stereo 170. For example some brands spring show MRP 400+ x65mm, others show DCO 350-400lb x 65, others CANE CREEK 400-488x65 and I get confused, I'm not sure if those are the correct weight o should I chose the next range with more weight. Thankyou.
@SteadySpin
@SteadySpin Жыл бұрын
This depends on your weight and style of riding. I’m 190-200 lbs so I choose a heaviest progressive spring. If you are 130 I’d use the 350-400. But if your super aggressive maybe you want a stiffer spring. Hope that helps

Hi, I just got of the phone with Matt over at Cane Creek and he mentioned I check out your video - I am on a 2021 Bronson V3 and ordered the DbCoil Il, but Matt said I should go with the linear spring because I already have the Cascade link installed and with the Progressive coil and Cascade, it would be too much - do you have any experience with the Cascade and coil? I have a Bronson v2 and I currently have a dhx2 with a normal linear spring. I know the bronson is a mix of progressive and linear but it was designed around a air shock. What I ride a air shock cant handle so I went dhx2. Now that this spring came out I am seriously considering it. I was on a 600lbs spring but I'm thinking I can go down to the 500 to 600lb progressive valt spring and soften my small bump without bottoming out and make my ride a little more plush. Did you find this spring mimicked how the bike handled before with an air shock and also do you think it suits the vpp suspension and the design of the Bronsons? I love having a coil on my Bronson, I wont go back.
@SteadySpin
@SteadySpin 4 жыл бұрын
I think it really keeps me high in the travel through the small stuff. I never feel it bottom out ever. Yet the Bronson was a air only until the progressive coil came out. It adds weight for sure. Mine is at 33.75lbs. Complete. You get the progressive coil and you are gonna love it. Have you tried the eeWings ? Make sure to use that steadyspin discount code and save 20%. Steady Spin get cane creek on board and do a cane creek trick contest where you have it to do a jump/trick while shouting “cane creek giveaway” and that can do some marketing for cc and they can submit on the gram with a hashtag of ur choice :)
