Was between the GX AXS in silver and the new Stout version. I went for the stout for a direct to consumer price. If I would have bought the GX AXS, the red Zebb would be my go to fork! Looks great!

If you haven't put some silencing foam in your chain stay for your brake and shifter cables on your Megatower yet that's something you can do to help with rattling.
@MTBMcPhee2 ай бұрын
Yeah the mega comes with that foam, but I have some of the YT cable stoppers to add next time I replace the cables as I think there is still a bit of noise coming from there.

Great video! How does the Heckler SL compare to your megatower in the rough stuff?
@MTBMcPheeАй бұрын
@@timhierlihy5745 quite similar, I think the extra weight makes up for the shorter travel. The main difference is the shock is more supportive and poppy than the vivid on the Mega.

Awesome! Thanks for replying. I have a megatower and love how robust it is. It feels like I will give out before it does :)

Many folks long stroking their SL bikes by putting a 216x63 shock with 2 offset bushings turning the shock into a 212x63. The stock shock is 210x55. If this fits like it does on the Gen 1 Rise, it turns the 140mm into 160mm The 2nd Gen Levo SL goes from 150mm to 170mm. Upping the fork by 20 or 30mm turns it into a light weight enduro bike and Geo should be spot on Wondering if this works on the this bike

Questions for the full review: does having the motor negate the negative aspects of a mullet setup (carrying speed, getting over bumps etc)? Do you have strava data on the average km/hr for a 5-10% gradient climb? Was a bit surprised when you said in the video it was getting you up the hill nearly as quick as a full power ebike. Cheers
@MTBMcPhee3 ай бұрын
On lower grades it's similar, when it's real steep it's nowhere near as quick as a full power eeb, but still much faster than my meat-bike

Don't u feel the rubber compound is slowing us? Because im using fr & rear dh22. I've tested rolling on pavement with my riding friend we paddle 2 cranks at the same time downhill on pavement he's using vee tire and he got me, im thinking about to change the rear with Michelin wild enduro MH( mix hard compound ) for the rear and see how it perform . I think u should do this tire review, Michelin DH22,DH16,DH34, and Michelin wild enduro tyres MS (mix soft ) and MH (mix Hard) and other Michelin specific rear tyres for fast rolling to see how the performance
@MTBMcPhee3 ай бұрын
The DH are quite heavy and slow rolling, especially compared to the Wild Enduro Rear which is quite fast rolling. Unfortunately Michelin don't do that tyre in 27.5 so mullet riders are currently out of luck. For the time being I have switched these tyres out for maxxis DHR2 in DD front and DH rear and saved around 500g but also the maxxis roll faster. I will do a range test of both tyres to see if the difference has a noticeable impact on battery. If I can test more of the michelin lineup I will. I think they are great tyres for performance and flat resistance!

@@dtran1742 I haven’t run alloy wheels in a long time to do a direct comparison but the reserve are quite good as far as carbon go. I think they’re a little stiffer than WAO but not quite as compliant. The main benefit over alloy is zero maintenance.
