Santa Monica Vibes 🎡 Texture + Blending / Creating an Abstract Acrylic Art Painting / Tutorial

This is about using texture to create patterns on the surface area - whilst being in the present moment. I use various household tools including a balloon and wedges to create the texture and the patterns.

Hi Mark, This was another truly mesmerising creation. It reminds me of some incredible Aboriginal dream time pieces up around the Kimberly & Pilbara regions in the far north of Western Australia. Oh, Mark! How amazing this piece is! I love it. All of that beautiful texture & color. The half spheres remind me of windmills made out of horseshoe nails. Mark when i was a child i put rainbow colors with crayons, then i went over it with a black crayon. Then scratched a design on it. Recently i painted silver and black over it and used painters design s like u have . I loved the results and it was fun doing it. ❤❤❤

🙋‍♀️ Before I even watch you paint, I have a question 🙋‍♀️ It’s a simple one that I can’t believe I’m even asking….the masking tape: is it regular masking tape or a special painters masking tape? I’ve used masking tape on several supstraights before but it pulls up some of what is underneath.

Thank you. This is just regular masking tape. But if you want a cleaner edge, take a colour and water it down slightly and just paint along the edge for a cleaner line 👍🏻
