The inside car camera is actually enjoyable with a slight angle to the right. Great content!

Well done...good handling. Don`t be shy on tyres next time, i used up 18...9 pair :) As i saw it in your previous video, somebody else mentioned as well....try to keep constant high RPM in 3rd and use your angle kit to slow down and speed up in bends. Take the foot off before transition and floor it at mid point....use the angle kit to keep the back under control. Here at Santa at the rear back long bend is what i like so much. Tell you how i linked it, 3rd on full throttle when you transitioning into it...don`t let the pedal off no matter how scary it is :) your good angle kit will hold you in place and you will have lot more smoke. Soon as your back end passed the concrete barrier...clutch it and handbrake on....keep the angle playing with the handbrake...soon as you turned into the hairpin...rev it and drop the clutch...stay in 3rd..if need it kick the clutch until the rev pick up. With this technique i was able to pull a constant smoke cloud and is awesome when you able to proceed it. PS: If you hear your tyre squeak that is mean no smoke..soon as the squeak stop when the tyre spinning....there where you start making smoke. Try to find the way to keep the wheels spinning always above squeak speed :D Good fun for the next one

Yeah I went out tonight and tried drifting with more controlled throttle instead of blipping the throttle repeatedly, and it didn't take long to get used to it. So I'll try and do that properly at the next event. I'm surprised you were in 3rd even for that hairpin after the long bend at the back. I do like practicing changing gear during transitions though, as I think that is a useful skill to have (not always going to be able to every corner on every course in the same gear). Thanks for the tips, I'll see what I can do next time!

Very nice! Is it possible to put an older go pro on the wheel arches so we can see the tyres as well? Perhaps even the rear view of other cars behind you as well would be nice.

yeah I did have a rear facing one for some of it but there wasn't much interesting footage, because as soon as I start drifting obviously my car swings to the side and ends up filming nothing behind me lol

I see. DJI makes a nice gimbal. You'd have to mount it but it's really impressive. And it has subject tracking. Last time we chatted about drones and now the mavic came out. I hope to have one soon.

Yeah looking at getting the GoPro handheld gimbal when that comes out, and really tempted by their drone or the Mavic as well. They both look pretty impressive

Awesome. I believe the gimbal is out now and mavic is on pre-order still 4K and has 4,1 mile range along with excellent stabilization.

So jealous you have so many tracks fairly close you you. Here in Northern Ireland there is hardly any tracks, and even less novice track days to go on :(

Awesome driving!! Getting better each video! How many laps/miles/ events do a set of tires last???
@DedicationBlog
@DedicationBlog 8 жыл бұрын
It depends a lot on the event and how many laps you're doing at once. At rockingham one set of tyres lasted almost the entire day, but at santa pod I got through one set of tyres in the morning alone, then another 2 sets in the afternoon (but one set was part worn already).

Well you normally don't get that close to other cars unless you want to (apart from if someone catches you up and decides to get kind of close, but that only happened once)

Is that tall silver thing an ebrake if it is why are you using the stock one
@DedicationBlog
@DedicationBlog 8 жыл бұрын
Yeah its a hydraulic handbrake, but we haven't plumbed it in yet as it requires mounting an extra brake caliper to the rear wheel. Making the mounting bracket for that is taking a long time

Mounts not fucked just unscrew the peg and rotate back square!
@DedicationBlog
@DedicationBlog 8 жыл бұрын
that's the problem, the peg won't unscrew

There's not much to see, it just looks like normal but basically I think I over tightened it and now you can't undo it. If you twist the black star shaped bit on the peg as hard as you possibly can then you feel the black part rotating slightly but the peg itself isn't unscrewing, if that makes sense. I'll try pull the black bit off and get some pliers on it

it's great to watch you evolve as a driver bro, but please wear a helmet at least....you don't have a roll cage, you are still learning and drifting along with other cars with no helmet or even harnesses. I just had to say something dude. but good drifting
@DedicationBlog

yeah its weird that at this track they don't say you have to wear a helmet. I did wear it for a couple of runs but it obscured the camera a bit so didn't include those clips in the video.
