Well it doesn't help that this is the second divorce... Also, as someone from a *newly* divorced household, Christmas can suck. It's not always two separate but equally enjoyable Christmases. Money can be tight, there's at least one spot less at the table, juggling phone calls and such so no one has to deal with their ex more than necessary, and just the overall experience of knowing this is the first Christmas without (insert person/s). That's what it can be like if the divorce is hard, which they all are difficult but I'm talking nasty divorces
