I am a forever Santana fan. Now closing in on 78, every time I hear Soul Sacrifice it absolutely transports me to another Galaxy. And Michael Shrieve the drummer was ONLY 20 when he performed this song at Woodstock!!!

Jose Chepito Areas was hands down the best latin drummer of his era. Two hands, two congas. Two sticks, two timbales. He had touch, timing, and an amazing musical sense. Never over playing and always playing the song. As Carlos himself said: he told stories when he played. For sure, the guy was lyrical af.
