What a wonderful example of guitar music executed on a electric guitar. Heartfelt and totally emotive in reverence to a higher law of love and compassion. Carlos held an insight into world music and elevated the guitar to a classical status. Long live Carlos Santana.

Santana almost 30 years ago simply the best, Santana today 2019 still simply the best. Santana a living legend and icon started in 1966. I started loving Santana in 1977 and still do, deeply. His music is so uplifting I try to listen to at least one song every day.

Carlos has always been a Healer and giver. A lot of people don't know he did this concert to raise money for people in Watsonville because of the 6.9 Loma Prieta earthquake that hit the town just 5 weeks earlier.

suntzu861 I’m retired from HP Brazil now, but my first trip to HP’s headquarter (in Palo Alto) was in October 1989. I was in Santa Cruz/Watsonville/Monterey Saturday, Oct, 14. I took the plane back to Brazil from San Francisco Sunday, Oct 15. Monday, Oct 16, 1989 I was back home. I just couldn’t believe when I read the news. Thanks, Carlos, for this great gesture. You have a great heart and are always a huge inspiration!

I'm from wastonville and I think is this is so cool. Carlos Santana came to perform after the 1989 earthquake had damaged alot of the area. I'm 21 years old but if I were alive in 89 I'd definitely go watch Santana perform

@Brianjugos you can still see Santana perform. He is touring in Concert in 2021 & 2022. CARLOS Santana is every bit as great as he was in 1989. I have been listening & going to his concerts since 1969. He is a living LEGEND. 🙏❤️

I lived on high St during the quake and mobo my sushi bar a half block from Cooper House which was destroyed. Missed the Watson bills event but I learned humans pitch in when shit goes down, so Carlos doesn't surprise me. This American idea of rugged indepence is bunks d contrary to the collective collaborative lives humans thrived on for eons

I go to see his concerts whenever he’s in town. I’ve been listening to Santana since the 60s when his style of music could only be heard on the underground radio stations. From the night into the light!

Santana's achievement is staggering. I'm an old Hippy who grew up on 70s music smashing the confines of a council estate and using music to honour my father.
