No matter how rich your family was or how poor we knew who these people were. Soul music was in your whole body. You could feel it in your heart when you listened to it. This is an all-time classic song. The song that cemented the greatness of this band for me. Damn I miss the music. we were so fortunate to witness back in the 70's. We are blessed to have the memories, though, in the days of sex, drugs, and rock n roll. In a much simpler world that I miss. Wish that computers were never invented and we did just fine without mobile phones and computer games. I would miss streaming music with the ability to pull up any song ever recorded. But if we didn't have that, I'd just have a record store to go to on the weekend to pick up a new LP. PEACE to all the hippies from those days of innocence.

The Blues as the King knew them, were nothing short of pure poetry in motion. BB is gone, SRV is gone, Hell, even Elvis could sing the genre to a different drummer. That's why the Blues are timeless, and limitless, because everyone gets the Blues now and again. A musician /singer/entertainer, always leaves room for another to pick up and pass along the torch. I can't wait to get to Heaven, so that I can meet and greet these ambassadors of good will . Adios

John Lee Hooker was an American singer-songwriter and musician who is frequently described as the one greatest blues guitarists in history. One of the most authentic practitioners of Mississippi Delta blues, his distinctive baritone explored themes such as depression, poverty, alcohol and promiscuity. Hooker’s primitive but powerfully timeless songs created a huge impact on rhythm and blues and rock ‘n’ roll. Source: List of Famous Singers

What an incredible "brain trust" that show included! I am simply thrilled I can see such today, such incredible talent from three or more generations of great music, all pulled together.

Whom is the Cat that plays last solo with overalls and cowboy hat? Home got down!!
@johnmcclain38873 жыл бұрын
@@edwardjimenezjimenez I don't know, to see this is incredible, I'm too young to have caught it first time around, caught glimpses of it growing up in the sixties and seventies, "t.v., looking back", and being able to see it on youtube is incredible, it brings a century of great new music, to the forefront, as never could before. I watched Chuck Berry in concert, in Chicago, in about 72, as a teen, and a few others of great talent, but what is available today is simply incredible.

Saw this amazing lady play at Byron Bluesfest, early 2000's. She rocked the house and I got to meet her after an incredible performance. What a gal💗💕💗

This is probably the finest blues performance I have ever seen. I love the dancing girl at about 3:53 into the performance. Very memorable. I wonder if she's still around and knows that she's a star.
@voxpopuli7352 жыл бұрын
Yes really! Her body seems to be resonating with the rhythm!
@musman65 Жыл бұрын
My post was poorly worded. My comment about this being the best blues performance I had ever seen was referring to John Lee Hooker and the rest of the performers. The comment about the girl dancing being very memorable, was an aside.
