Thanks for sharing!! Conrad Fischer is being sarcastic he doesn't mean that. I had a friend who took him for classes in Med School in NY where he teaches at in College. He says a lot of things for laughs and shock value that is his style of teaching and how to get the students attention.

Hey there, tried to reach you on insta but it's off. Anyways, I have 6 months left for step 1. Issue is that I haven't really paid attention in the first couple years of my med school. So my basics are really weak. What should be my approach to get 250+ score in step 1? Would be extremely grateful if you could spare a few minutes of your time.

So how do we find out what's definitively in the "script"?
@SantiagoAQ3 жыл бұрын
In my experience, the question banks (UW and AMBOSS in particular) are a great reflection of the script. The NBMEs are also great snippets of the script
@thecovering3 жыл бұрын
@@SantiagoAQ so like you talked about in an earlier video about studying out of the question banks is essentially studying the script as opposed to listening to hours of lectures right? it really is a totally different beast where we should work backwards from the questions...
@SantiagoAQ3 жыл бұрын
Exactly, if you think about it, is almost as if we have the outline of the exam already available for us. Sure, it won’t be the exact copy of the real deal, but damn it gets close.

@@SantiagoAQ If I’m just starting to study, would yo recommend starting to use UWorld simultaneously immediately?
@SantiagoAQ3 жыл бұрын
It really depends on how much time you have. If you’re in your last 3-6 months I would start UWORLD right away. If you’re more then 6 months away building up your knowledge from other qbanks would greatly help to start UW and absorb the tiny details

Does anyone here see similarities between Santiago’s point that students who score the best on the USMLE do not necessarily know the most (but have good strategies) information and the way Organic Chemistry classes are set up? For example, reading an Organic Chemistry textbook doesn’t translate the best to practice problems.
