it was an honor to meet El Hijo de Santo at an Indy video store conference about twelve years ago. One of the greatest moments of my life

Yes! An El Santo movie! This guy was legandary in Mexico. Nobody ever saw his face. When traveling he would take a different plane than anybody else and stay at a different hotel. He even had a special mask created when he was out as El Santo and had to eat.
@emperortrevornorton3119 Жыл бұрын
In truth without that masked man USA pro wrestling fans wouldn't have loved the 90's WCW and Rey Mysterio/ Eddie Guerrero now

El Santo's popularity got him invited to so many parties, dinners and interviews, that he actually commisioned custom masks with a bigger mouth hole, so he could talk and eat more comfortably at said events.

El Santo rocks! He's from my hometown Tulancingo, in the state of Hidalgo ❤ He's a wrestling legend along with Blue Demon, and despite the silliness of his movies, which actually happen to be enjoyable and funny, he's quite an icon.

Ok, i'm spanish, so i understand what they're saying. I tried my best to make a translation into english. Things clear, it's not good (my english is not very good), but i hope it's understandable 3:24 "Of the italian couple, Troy Casanova and the rebel harshly hitting El Santo's stomach" 3:33 "Now, for the third fall, (i think it's a name) and Casanova hitting the rookie, the rebel and ¡what way to hashly hitting his Ribs!" 4:31 "Because i don't want to hide you all that we usually cross with uncountable perils especially if we found the fabulous treasure of prince Nono" 5:11 "As you know this is the last point of civilization, from now on the devilish jungle with it's swamps and thousands of dang (Santo interrups but i don't hear what's he's saying)" 12:37 "I'm more accostummed, with a horse, in a couple of days i will be in civilization" "It's OK, i'll accompany you to (i don't hear well), you take care that it doesn't lack water and make a control of the kids" 13:47 "You shouldn't talk like that" "(Name?) the food's ready" After the cut "Come on, professor" 16:24 "El Santo, the hero of the crowds against El Bufalo, a man of 122 Kg that he defeated El Santo mask vs mask" 17:35 "Ha ha, so, grabbing the meat ¿uh? (something about tomorrow's food, but i don't understand well)"

@NodDisciple17 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I loved both the MST3k/Rifftrax versions of the film and James Rolfe's Review of it. The thing that never gets explained in these is that this was an attempt to convert the Latin American 3 Wise Men Tradition into a European/American Santa Claus Story to get a larger audience (the kids being tempted by devils, etc...). I hope Brad hears about this and adds this to the review if he does it.

Good episode. I remember first hearing about this "El Santo" when I found out about "3 Dev Adam" with Turkish Captain America. Funny how it turned out the supposed "Cursed Mummy" was really a dude in a mask, talk abut pulling the "Scooby-Doo" ending on a movie featuring Superhero Luchador. "Rice Roing Raggy." Something tells me "Until Spetember" will probably stay in the polls until it eventually wins, just like "Windy City".

I studied Spanish to better communicate with my family. Some kid: I'm forced to take a language requirement as a pre-req and need help. Other kid: I want to better communicate with the ladies. First time watching it late at night but didn't see the whole movie and pass out, feeling sleepy. I remember is about stopping the vampire and the chick becoming a vampire after Dracula turn her into a vampire by going to her home and my favorite is the chick sleeping in her bed, and her pajamas is beautiful. Thinking when I get married and if the wife were a pretty or beautiful pajama in my sight by sleeping with her. Also bikini or bikini wear, and vest is great and good for me in my future.
