Fun Fact: Sylvester and Arnold were the original choices for the leads of the movie Face/Off, but refused. Likely because they clearly hate each other. But i would think that would make the chemistry all the better. Plus imagine them getting to do impressions of each other? In an alternate universe, that movie was made, and i must get a copy of it

Stallone's quote about the movie was: "Maybe one of the worst films in the entire solar system, including alien productions we’ve never seen. A flatworm could write a better script than Stop! @@silverselkie1692 Nah, what actually happened is that Junior was originally a sequel to Twins, but Stallone had destroyed the original (and only script) and replaced it with some weird shit fetish from DeviantArt. He'd hijacked the time machine used in Terminator and sent it back to the 90's and switched scripts. As they'd already paid Arnold and Danny for their work, they just had to wing it and pay Arnold slightly more for the humiliation he suffered.

Y'know, that diaper nightmare scene could've been used to great effect if Sly's character felt pressure from those around him to change how he acts or how he looks or how he talks. He would be in his diaper and all the people who want him to change would converge on him like a horde or hungry zombies. He'd wake up screaming "I don't wanna change! Leave me alone!" It would be a clever metaphor. GOOD THING THIS MOVIE AIN'T CLEVER!

I've got to admit, I'm having a hard time seeing Stallone's logic in signing up for this. So he signed up for what he had to have known was a bad movie just because Arnold allegedly wanted to? Personally, if I had a rival who wanted to make a career movie this questionable, it seems like the meanest thing you could do is to let him do it.

Junior is the reeking shitpile of the bunch out of Arnold's 'self-aware' period. Kindergarten Cop works because he's standard Arnold saddled with kids; Twins has it's charm despite the concept, and despite the reviews I think Last Action Hero is great, but Junior is just a sad waste of a concept and it's actors. The only bit I really laughed at is Arnold at the women's retreat running off declaring "DEY'RE TRIYING TO TAHKE MY BAHYBEE!"

I know it's weird to wish this movie had been good, but my dad and my grandmother often have trouble with each other, even though they love each other. It would be great to see a movie portray the relationship between an elderly mother and her grown son in a fun way while still having a lot of the heart of the matter within it (mother getting older, and son having to accept it ) . I mean the best movie I can think of that does that is UP, but with a man and a stranger. It still stands, though I just wish there were more movies that had older characters in them.

Couldn't figure out where I'd heard of this film. I realized they discussed it on an episode of Movie Fights on ScreenJunkies. The debate was "what film would be better with Schwarzenegger as the star rather than Stallone."

Great episode. I've heard this movie was bad, but I never thought it would be this bad. I wouldn't say it's as bad as "Rhinestone", probably more on par with "Judge Dredd". And why do I have a feeling we're gonna see a review of "Rhinestone" some time in the future. Also I Imdb'd this movie and was surprised that Ving Rhames was in this movie, credited as a character named "Mr.Stereo". Kind makes me wonder who tricked Ving to be in this and "It's Pat".

Fun fact: the writer, Blake Snyder, wrote "Save the Cat;" one of the standard screenwriting books up-and-coming Hollywood writers are prescribed to read. And suddenly everything makes sense. But hey, this script sold for $500,000, so what the fuck do I know?

Estelle Getty was tricked into being in this movie too. She saw it had guns in it and said she would only be in the film if there were no guns. The producers lied to her and said it was "gun free" to get her to sign on. These people had NO shame.
